He said lets rough it  for the weekend

in a little place that we both have not been to.

It will be a good place to get to know each other

a place where we don’t have to worry about anyone else just each other.

I can get lost in your eyes and hold your hand without letting it go

when there’s just too many people around that their pulling us apart.

A place that will make us much stronger than before.

Poetry

Your

going places and life isn’t slowing down for you just to enjoy the little moments in life.

You blink and what felt like a minute really was an hour and soon your day is almost over and you just wanted to breathe and not be stressed out for a minute.

But, life is pulling you in so many directions that you don’t have time to relax let alone do what you need to do before it’s dark out.

You want to slow down but you have become more than what you were before and so many people now count on you more.

The little responsibilities you had before are now like a tower and every time you get it low it rises back up.

You want to be back in the moment when you didn’t have so much on your plate but the past is the past.

And now you have to try to make the things of the present work out for you or you will continue to stumble around.

Now is your time to claim what you were always meant to do and not let it go, no matter how stressful it gets don’t let those things break you.

You turn them around so they give you strength and it favors you in the end results.

Daily Prompt: Memorize

She memorize the last text you sent her by heart before she deleted you from her phone

you chose the coward way out when it came to saying good-bye to her.

She moved on but seeing your face a couple of weeks later, the look on your face was pure fear as you didn’t know how she would react to seeing you again.

But, she held her head up high and smiled at her new guy next to her and walked right past you as if the last two years of dealing with you never existed at all.

She said a polite hi to your best friend before disappearing around the corner like a ghost from your past.

She had long forgotten the words that broke her heart and now remembered all the new moments she was making as she started dating other guys and she now knew what she was looking for.

And now knew the signs that would lead her down a path better not taken at all for the risk is not worth it in the end.

Daily Prompt: Synchronize

These days it’s like you have to  synchronize everything you have just to keep track of what is going on with your life.

You synchronize your watch so that you can remember that in an hour or two you have to remember to pick something up at the cleaners.

You synchronize your Fitbit with your cellphones so that you can keep track of your steps and many moves through out your day.

We synchronize our plans so that we can hang out with the people we care about during our days off.

Daily Prompt:Unfurl

She let her hair unfurl into the wind as she took a nice walk outside

it had been a long day.

And it was just time to let her hair down and let the stress  finally just melt away

For she knew if today was bad than tomorrow would be even worst.

And she needed to be ready herself for a battle that was unseen and possibly would end bad but she was hoping it would all work out in the end.

Daily Prompt: Grainy

As she looked down at all the grainy old photos of her grandmother.

She wished to capture the moment again for you could see so much emotions behind her grandma’s eyes.

And she has yet to take a photo so powerful and meaningful at the same time.

She wish she had the camera which that captured this moment that made her fall on love with photography all over again.

Daily Prompt: Glaring

He sat there with a giant smirk on his face

while she glared at the back of his head.

He thought he was so clever with forcing her to sit next to his best friend the whole ride to the cabin.

Just so he could make sure someone kept an eye on her.

she started to think of all the ways she could get him back as his brother talked her ear off for the first hour.

Before she fell asleep listening to her music.

She woke up when the car came to a complete stop.

The scenery around the cabin was beautiful.

It wasn’t what she imagined but everything was covered in a nice layer of snow.

And as they all exited the car, she knew this was her chance to get him back.

As she bent down and made a huge snowball, she throw it with all her might right at the center of his back.

knocking him off balanced and into the snow-covered ground on his butt.

He glared at her from the ground as his friends and her laughed at him and replayed the video of the whole incident.

Which He brother caught on her phone.

She smiled boldly at him as she knew messing with him had just began and, it would be two great weeks of fun for her.

This time of year

100 Word Wednesday: Week 31

Everyone is in a hurry to get to the conference of the year

so much to learn about but not enough time to sit back and enjoy it.

We all dress up in black with a couple people here and there wearing red.

We all stand around trying to catch up before the doors close and we sit in our somewhat comfortable seats.

The next four hours we will be listening and writing down notes about all the interesting things we will be learning in the hopes that next year will be even better.

Daily Prompt: Symphony

Your like a symphony the way you make me feel

is always happy, joyful, excited, peaceful.

As if all this instrument’s are playing all at once

making the most beautiful and smooth sound.

I close my eyes every time you are near and listen to things

that sound so intense and magical.

It something I cherish every time I need to just quiet the noise and

anger in this world.

Daily Prompt: Hidden

So many things are not hidden from me

and I like it that way.

When everything is out in the open and there

are no secrets.

Because when things are hidden, some times they come out into the light

and not everyone is happy about the end result.

We all want to be open with each other and feel like we can tell someone every thing

and maybe that would be a good thing but maybe sometimes those options aren’t something you are granted.

Hidden treasures are all fun when it’s a game, but when it comes to real life hidden secrets can break trust and your faith in that person.

Daily Prompt: Tea

Another hot day coming my way

and the only thing that seems to cool me down

other than water is.

A tall glass of ice tea

makes me forget about the heat that seems to not want to leave.

Rain comes and the heat cools down but it comes back so strong

it’s like stepping out into the heat the sweat breaks out and you just

want to go back inside and come back out when fall appears.

Daily Prompt: Lollipop

Life sometimes can be like a lollipop

for it could be so hard and working through your problems.

may take a long time to solve and you have to go through so many trials or layers.

Just to get to the center of your problem or problems.

And, sometimes the outcome isn’t so sweet and it leaves a bitter taste in your mouth.

And so you don’t try that favor or solution again  when it comes down to dealing with the problems of your life.

Like a lollipop life can have some sweet and cherish moments.

But, sometimes things start out sour and end on such a sweet note or moment.

Daily Prompt: Bumble

You move around me in awkward pattern like a child trying to walk for the first time.

I try to ignore you because it’s just annoying as I try to get around you.

after five minutes of getting no where, I just laugh and push you down.

And laugh even harder when you just can’t seem to get up right.

its like seeing a turtle trying to turn over and get back up.

I realize it’s all just your way of trying to cheer me up and for that I’m grateful.

And so I find myself smiling and helping you up and off the floor.

Daily Prompt: Tether

I feel like your pulling me by chain and every time you say something to me the

chain tightens and I feel like I can’t breath.

You promise so much and yet you leave me on

that chain with no hope of being free.

I try with all my might to break these chains and get my life

back on the right track.

But, no matter how hard I try it just won’t give and I’m slowly

losing my strength as I try to fight through this and survive.

When will my chain break off and I can breath lighter and feel

the weight of it all off my shoulders at last.

Daily Prompt: Magnet

Like a magnet I was drawn to you

that voice so like no other.

Spoke values with just a  few words out of your mouth

the most important ones were yet to come.

When I first met you, I fought every instinct that I was supposed

to get close to you for I just didn’t need another person in my life.

Especially since everything about you was saying nothing good would come from letting you in.

And in a way you proved me wrong but at the same time things are different now and even though you are not a big part of my life anymore.

I will always be drawn to you and for that I cherish the memories we have and I don’t regret any of it.
