Writing 101,Poetry Day 09:Camouflage

I sat there smiling at you like I was so happy to see you.

But behind this mask I wore was the hate and resentment.

You made it seem like I was asking for too much.

It was like I was not being normal and for that you quickly backed away.

Pretending you were still interested but behind your back were you packed bags and every-time I looked away you would throw one out the door.

Until one day you were gone and then I saw you standing there on the platform waiting for the train.

And before I could turn and walk into the crowd, you saw me and you said hey with a smile on your face.

Like you never hurt me, like I didn’t matter.

I thought of making a scene and making you look bad, but in the end I would look sad and not over you.

So I walked over and said hey, how are you?

As a little bit of me died the next couple of minutes as I talked to you.

As I boarded the train and we got separated in the crowd who just wanted to get home.

I let of a breath and the bricks were gone from my shoulders and the tense of having to pretend was over.

And you were gone and my emotions exploded inside of me as I rode the train all the way to the end.

Writing 101,Poetry Day 10: Farewell

The day I should have said goodbye to you was bittersweet.

For I didn’t say it with words, for every-time I started to call you my heart would speed up and i’d have to stop.

Take a breath and so I started to text you thinking it would be easier.

But the pain still came and so in the end I just walked away.

Erasing you from my memory as I erased you from my phone.

You never wondered where I went and so our farewell never begun but ended as the year blew by.

The Journey of Bonnie Ann Spades(continues part 1 and portrayal of story combined)

She is very kindhearted girl who is shy and does not have many friends.

She has Gray eyes and long brown hair with light brown highlights, her eyes are small and her black eyelashes are long and healthy. Her nose is small and cute like a button and her mouth is pumped and thick, she loves wearing pink and red lipstick or color lip-gloss. She loves wearing pink and red t-shirts, sweatshirts and bows and she is not ever caught walking anywhere without a nice pair of sneakers or flats and heals when appropriate to wear. She always wears one of the heart necklaces her grandma and grandpa gave her when she was born and throughout the years.

It is the first day of the second semester of the year and I cannot want to learn something about chemistry , on my way to class I bump into my friend holly and we end up going into class together and we separate once we see there are assigned seating by last name. I head over to my seat and realize I am seating next to Patrick a boy who is in the same grade as me but we have not officially met.

Bo: Hi, I’m Bo

Patrick: Hi nice to meet you Bo I’m Patrick

Before we could say more our teacher Ms.Snow walks in with a stack of white paper in her arms and a black leather bag over her shoulders. She is wearing a black dress shirt and tan pants and her hair is in a messy ponytail. She smiles at us all as she puts her papers down and walks back to the front of the room to introduce herself and what is expected from us this semester as we learn all about the elements and how they work.

Ms.Snow quickly announces that the person sitting next to you will be your partner throughout the class. We will have to work with them all little assignments throughout the class time and can help each other on homework problems when we finish our work early. She also said if we are ever sick or have to leave class early the person next to us will be in charge of giving us the information we will need to make up the work or notes to study for the many test and quizzes we will have.

So right now would be a great time to exchange emails and phone numbers. Bo quickly writes down her information and when done gives it to Patrick who in return fills out his information and gives it too her as well. They each put it in their phones quickly before they forget, class goes on for the next hour and half, side by side Bo and Patrick take notes and focus on the voice of their teacher not thinking about how this semester will bring them together as friends.

I just wanted to get another good grade in my classes, not make new friends in Chemistry class. I have always desired to have more friends for I felt like it was what everyone wanted, to be cool and connected. Today is Wednesday and for the first time in a long time, I’m wearing a dress a nice red dress that is hugging my curves nicely with my long curly hair resting on my shoulders, wearing my favorite heart necklace that has a red ruby in it.

I’m feeling a little nervous about wearing this dress today for I don’t want to be judge for my outfit but I wanted to feel nice today and not dressed up in my usual sweatshirt and pants.

As usual Patrick is wearing a polo t-shirt with blue denim jeans and black sneakers. Patrick is nice, and funny we spend most of the class laughing at his jokes when the teacher is going over boring elements chart. We try to keep our laughter down as she looks around in her blue sweater, with her serious brown eyes trying to figure out if she heard something from us immature and unfocused teenagers.

I wonder if Patrick is as happy as I am to be friends, it sure makes Chemistry class fun and something to look forward to each day and week.

I just wanted to get another good grade in my classes so I never thought that I would have made a couple of friends in Chemistry class. I have always desired to have more friends for I felt like it was what everyone wanted, to be cool and connected. I guess I needed to be popular and go to the cool parties every Friday night instead of just hanging out at home or going out to the movies. Patrick is nice, and funny we spend most of the class laughing at his jokes when the teacher is boring us while going over all the different elements on the chart. We try to keep our laughter down as she looks around in her blue sweater, with her serious brown eyes trying to figure out if she heard something from us immature and unfocused teenagers. Today is Wednesday and Patrick is wearing a light blue and white polo t-shirt with blue denim jeans and black sneakers, I on the other hand is wearing a nice red dress that is hugging my curves nicely with my long curly hair resting on my shoulders. Maggie tries to handle the Snow Storm!

She has long Blonde hair with light brown highlights and blue eyes that are as clear as the ocean. She sits by the window all bundled up as the white snow falls fast outside, leaving her stuck inside with no luck going to her holiday party at work. Her boss had canceled the party as the mayor of her town had put out a city-wide warning for everyone to stay inside, and she is now stuck with a double chocolate cake and her ½-gallon homemade eggnog. She had picked out the perfect red dress with extended shelves on it with a slight low cut in the front, a white snowflake necklace and earrings, and the most excellent white shiny clear shoes. She felt like if the party could not happen, she could dress up and have fun while sitting by the fire watching a movie.

So Maggie dressed up and cut a slice of the cake, poured a glass of eggnog, put on a movie, set on the logs in her fireplace, and lit the fire until it burned and burned. The crackling of the fire relaxed her as the heat warmed over her body. The movie made her laugh and smile at the joy of Christmas; soon, the time passed as Maggie watched movie after movie. She did not notice that the snow had picked up; snowflakes had grown in size, and the snow was about a foot up her back door.

Soon, it grew dark outside, and Maggie decided to go to bed for the night. As she slept, the snow storm picked up, and the snow fell and fell and fell until it would be impossible for her to go anywhere for the next couple of days. She woke up early, hoping she could go outside and be a big kid again, play in the snow, and make snow angels and a snowman that she would dress up with her decorations.

As she descended the stairs and looked out her back door, she realized she was shocked at how much snow was outside her house. Because of how bad the weather was, her joy of going out and spending time in the snow quickly faded away as she realized she was stuck. She started to panic, for she had no clue how long it would take for the snow to melt if anyone else got out and how long it would take if she did need help.

It took all the strength and patience to calm herself down. Thirty minutes later, she decided she should call out and see how everyone was, for she knew some of her family and friends might be panicking, too. So, the following hours she spent calling and talking to everyone she knew, and so far they were all fine and going to see how the others were and safety staying inside by the fire, hoping the sun would come out soon and melt the giant hill of snow away so they could go out and enjoy it. After all her phone calls, Maggie soon found herself making some hot chocolate with tons of marshmallows and looking out her back window at all the things covered in snow.

All her backyard decorations vanished before the surface of the snow. She didn’t want to look out the front but was curious about how much worse it may look. She quickly walked to the front of the house through her long hallway leading to her massive living room, for she had forgotten her socks, and her oak wooden floors were cold. She didn’t know how long her poor little toes could take as they felt like she was walking on a block of ice.
