Tonight

Photo by Atıf Zafrak on Unsplash

is all about celebrating this moment together

and I let go all the outside worries and concerns.

As sit out here on such a lovely night, drinking some wine and some food as well.

We know its been a long time coming and we are both excited for this milestone and fruitful future together.

But right now we just want to be in the present and go from there.

Tonight I wear red and I feel so free as my dress flows around me.

Romance is what this night will be all about and for that I am grateful I’m getting to spend time with you.

I see

You for what you are.

Nice when it’s just me and you.

But, then when you have an audience your throwing jabs my way I’m as if you’re calling me out.

And frankly, I don’t care for it’s my life and my way.

If I do what feels right for me than at the end of the day.

You shouldn’t bring up what doesn’t concern you.

Sometimes the battle of being mature and leaving childish, things behind must be hard for you.

Or you’re true colors are coming out and I’m no longer naive to it.

I won’t fall for your frustration and distractions for I know me.

And I know I’m not about what you’re throwing my way.

And so I’m out and you will be invisible to me for I won’t be haunted by past.

For ignorance gets you nowhere quick and sooner or later karma comes and I ain’t in the mood for her.

You’ve always

Photo by Jakob Owens on Unsplash

Been my rock through these tough times.

Just one hug

Just one kiss

Just one look

And everything that seemed too much no longer matters.

For you know how to calm me down and when to get loud with me on the subject.

You listen and only once I’m done do you give me your opinion.

You try to be non-bias when I recap something for you.

For you always want to see the good in people and when it doesn’t work.

You drop the bullshit and move on.

Your always making sure everyone is good before you take care of yourself.

You will always be a part of my happiest moments.

For every begins and ends with you.

They say or you might lose your head.

For walking under this path during a storm may just cost you more than you thought.

Even on a nice day as today being cautious and minding your head may just be what you need.

Saturday Mix, 27 June 2020

This week we are “writing away, and having a play, with rhyming words for you today” with Rhyme Time.

Our rhyming words this week are:

  1. save
  2. brave
  3. cave
  4. wave (or waive)
  5. gave
  6. grave

She was saved by God

so that she could be brave

enough to go into that cave

and to wave

to everyone she loved and gave

her supplies to survive so that she wouldn’t end up in a grave

that day.

When the

Artist: unknown

Time comes will you carry me home?

And will the sun shine brighter on that day?

Will the skies be clear and my family be comforted from the loss of me?

Will I see it coming and accept it is my time to go?

Or will I be shocked to look down and realize I am now going no more.

Soon the dirt will bury me up and all that will be left is memories of the good and bad days we shared.

And will they be able to recall at least one?

At my funeral or afterward when everyone is gather around sharing all the times we’ve had.
