(Seeing something I learned about and studied in school in its full structure was amazing. It inspired this poem.)
Being able to see you in your full beauty
was breath taking.
The waterfall that you were built on memorizing
I will never forget the amount of joy you brought me
that day a memory I will always remember.

You know – just before I reached the end of that poem, I was thinking to myself ‘I wonder if Deirdre will remember the circumstances behind all these poems when she is older?’ And then you said ‘a memory I will always remember’. It was as if you heard my question and then answered it in your poem. How is that even possible?!
Lol I don’t know but I guess the pictures will help me remember and the books from school I still have .
You’re building up a treasure box. You’ll remember the feelings even if you don’t have the thoughts at your finger(mind?)tips. 🙂
Very true!
🙂
