Daily Prompt: Cake

Cake the one thing everyone wants and craves daily.

Cakes are the most important thing when planning a birthday party or a wedding or any other special occasion.

So many flavors to choose from and so many ways to decorate or design a cake to side out and wow the guest.

You do so much research on recipes or bakeries until you feel your satisfied you have made the right choose.

Then time goes on and you either remember the cake or it fades from your mind only to be admired from photos taken during that day.

Oh cake how we desire you and once your gone maybe we would want more of you or maybe we will forget you and move on to the next great thing.

Daily Prompt: Eclipse

I wait for the eclipse to happen a rare occasion it is.

As the eclipse starts the once bright moon is now covered with darkness.

And it reminds me of what you used to be like

so bright you shined with your bright smile and, the little twinkle that was always in your eye.

You were  so full of life and didn’t ever give up without trying it at least three times.

When you walked into a place for the first time everyone would instantly feel the change in the environment.

So much joy and happiness you gave to everyone you walked by or spoke today.

Then one day something happened and a curtain was closed around your light.

And in its place was someone who didn’t say anything to anyone and, if you did speak it was such a dull voice.

No light or energy shined in you and what was left behind was shallow spirit of such a joy.

And now it is such a rare occasion to see the true you again.

What a joy it will be.

Daily Prompt: Sidewalk

Sidewalk you are something everyone walks on everyday of their life

something we don’t really seem to worry about.

Until we trip and fall because you have become uneven over time

or we just aren’t watching where we are going.

For we just expect you to be perfect and leveled out as we walk on you

going for a walk by ourselves or taking the dog out.

When we fall on you we don’t wonder how you feel, we just get mad at you

and look at how you hurt us with your sharp pieces or edges.

We pick ourselves up and slowly walk away, leaving you with our blood stains of

the evidence of our fall.

We don’t try to clean you up before we go or look back to see what just happened, no

we keep on walking leaving you behind like the memory of what just happened and we

move on with our lives.

Daily Prompt: Sidewalk

Daily Prompt: Melody

The melody was the sweetest sound I ever heard

so  soft and slow at the beginning and then it slowly grew a little louder.

And became more than a whisper but not as loud as a shout.

Its sweet melody was like nothing I ever heard of it distracted me on this sunny day.

I couldn’t listen to anything else for my ears craved it sound.

You tried to get my attention all day long but you were unheard,unseen until I needed a break and stepped away.

And when I did notice what was going on around me.

I saw you with not a very happy face and I said sorry and shared my melody with you and we both got lost together to the most beautiful sound.

That just made you want it to be the weekend so you could get lost in it and not worry about the time or things that need to get down.

For the sweet melody is all that matters for now.

Daily Prompt: Shiver

She shivers as you whisper her name as you walk by.

And the silly moments you two had together flood  back into her mind.

Like it was yesterday and you two met for the first time and locked eye contact for ten minutes.

she shiver again as the cold air from the AC kicks in and she wishes she had you around to keep her warm for the night.
