To be kind

doesn’t always make you right, but it does sometimes make you overthink how they might think because you are kind.

You don’t see through their lies.

But you do see through the lies, but you don’t have time to call them out.

Or you know telling them the truth isn’t worth it, for they could have told you the truth too.

But they didn’t, for being clever is more important to them, and you can be brilliant too, but we all know they will never figure you out.

And so, you are kind, and you are sometimes right, but you never say you are

For your people-pleasing days are all gone, you would instead become exposed then play too long in the darkness where everything will eventually fall apart.

Then will have nothing but the pieces of your lie to keep you warm at night.
