Here I go

Again feeling the chills run through me

As you come near and my heart is pounding so hard inside my chest.

And I don’t know what to do as you begin to say something to me.

Should I react, or should I walk away and keep my distance as I know the dangers that lurk behind your words.

Or hope this time will be different as I know the truth and can spot a lie from you a mile away.

Or is the risk just too significant, and second chances aren’t for us all.
