To look

On the outside, as if the inside of people does not matter.

Or are we so blind that we only focus on the things we can see but lose sight of what we should be looking for?

Emotions and feelings sometimes can be reflected on the outside with a frown here or a tear there.

But what if we don’t see that, and what we see is a smile and hear laughter.

Or we receive silence and small talk. Are we to be worried or concerned.

Or chalk it off to they are having an off day; when do we start to judge?

When they trigger us and their words almost remind us of someone else who always annoyed or pissed us off.

Do we look and seek out what is right or what is wrong.

Or do we accept the norm and take that thing in this world will never change, so why believe someone new isn’t like all that came before them?

Setting

The mood on a rainy day is as if you don’t want the harsh weather to ruin your day.

You want to still enjoy a cup of tea and to have a clean mind as you enjoy your day.

Another day to relax and find and connect a piece of yourself.

To feel like you are doing more for yourself than you had before as you break through all the chains and pains that you let sit away inside a cage in hopes one day you won’t have to deal with them at all.

But you know now letting them out and healing from them is greater than bottle them up inside and living a life full of triggers and unknown solutions.

Sometimes

Photo by Sen Lee on Unsplash

The direction we go in isn’t always clear and it can be slightly blinding.

The light shines in and around us as we travel in a new direction.

Sometimes not let us see where we’re going until it’s too late to turn around.

So here I am alone, walking along the most peaceful new path in the sand as I clear my head and let everything else fade away.

And I am glad another day to enjoy tbs nature and the ocean around me as my day comes to an end.

He gave

his life so that we all can be forgiven for our sins

giving me a chance to have a relationship with my God.

Who loves me so much? He needed a sacrifice he knew would do it right?

Who would give so much so that I wouldn’t have to, and now I crave that relationship with God and treasure it more than anything in this world?

But I know my efforts will never amount to his and I know my life wouldn’t be in this place of goodness without him.

So today, as I sit in my peace and enjoy this day of rest, I will always take a moment to appreciate all that God has done for me this last couple of years.

Don’t worry

Your time will come again

No need to play catch up for you on the right path.

Even when you feel like the numbers should be better for you.

Only time will tell, but girl, I see you on the top, and nothing in this life can hold you back.

So stop looking at what others have and build up what you already have, and the pieces will fall into place.

For I believe in you, and I always will.

Don’t quit

Even when all the papers around you have nothing good to say but don’t run and hide either.

But stand and fight for now, for the light is pushing back that darkness that’s kept you hidden.

They worried about the wrong things and didn’t see you drowning in the darkness.

Even though you tried to get them to see it day and night, they just pushed you away.

But they swear they want to see you happy, but they never know when you are not.

So don’t pretend but don’t give up either.

Just look around and see if you see someone else who mirrors you and says to them, I see you, and I feel you.

Don’t let them quit; you know you were never alone, just looking in all the wrong places and people.

Today

What a feeling of being overwhelmed

Off-track and blindly walking around until I find my footing again.

A feeling of hopefulness and helplessness.

With a bit of light to guide my way but the feeling of disappointment and lack of motivation so high, I’m floating above all the issues.

And hope to continue to avoid them is so thick it would be too hard to cut it with a knife.
