Nature

I see you

I feel you

And I realize we are more alike than I would have admitted a long time ago.

Like you, I must grow and be healthy If I want to thrive.

Just like you, I need sunlight and oxygen and water but never too much.

Someone cares for me too and everyday I am not alone because of him.

My moments are brighter and wiser as he guides me through this thing I call life.

To appreciate nature is to care for my well-being as we continue to provide for each other.

Poetry

As we lay

You to rest.

We start to reflect on what we are doing with our lives.

And some will strive to do more, for our time is always limited.

But we forget because we get so caught up in what we can do today and tomorrow.

But what happens when no tomorrow comes and we don’t get it done?

Will our spirits end up being restless?

There is so much to think about, but as we move forward, someone can’t go ahead with us because they have served their time.

And as you float away from the world full of pain, joy, confusion, anger, and so many more emotions.

You are at peace as you are released from your pain, and God gains another. As Our tears fall together, the loss becomes one. And we share memories, and as the tears dry up for a moment, we laugh and hug and share the love all around.

Knowing time will heal this loss, too, we must take it one day at a time.

Poetry

I want to

Be more open, like an open field with nowhere to hide.

But every time I open my mouth, I see your judgemental eyes.

And I close my mouth and say the minimum.

Yet you ask me for more, but I can’t take the chance of you using it against me, so I pretend not to hear you.

And eventually, you give up, and I realize maybe being so open isn’t something I need or want with you anyways.

Standing on

The sidelines watching what you want in life go by.

Like traffic going by, you know if you walk out in it, there Is no way you will survive.

But not every risk will end badly, so why not just take this risk and live to see another day.

Or live regretting you didn’t do it earlier when the chances for you, my friend, were higher than they ever will be again.

Not all failures are hard to come back from, so believe, and you will see so much more than what’s in front of you now.

Wishing I

I could find you, the person I used to know, the silly one, and put up with my crap.

I was always messing with you, but you would laugh and give it back to me.

Your laugh and happiness I took for granted, and now I wonder how you are, and I hope you are okay.

And you find your way to a new form of happiness that balances you out.
