Play on a loop inside my head every time I think of you.
It makes me realize that you meant what you said.
And now, I have to accept to move on and focus on where I need to go and not where we were going together.
When it becomes clear that the path I’m on now will be less crowded.
But the people joining me only look out for my best interest.
And those that have fallen off were fooling themselves and me.
Because, in the end, the situation was too much for them, and the outcome was for the best.
No hard feelings on my end, and I knowing the truth is better than living in pretend or politeness.
As you fade from my mind and the loop finally ends. I now know it wasn’t me that was the problem.
