Here, like the spirit of Christmas past
Trying to accept that my voice from the past is gone and explore my present voice.
But the best of my writing has me wondering: can I still express myself now? And do it justice and be satisfied.
As my birthday nears and I take time off, someone always asks if I will spend time writing, and I don’t know if I will.
Because I can’t do it consistently right now, and giving myself grace is a struggle.
Will I overcome this and take the brave step of trying to write, so that writing can shine again?
