the light shining down on me repeatedly today
as I feel the love and blessing coming this way this year.
Day one has started off just right and I know and feel the next few days will be just as great.
But, I won’t plan too far ahead for I know there are going to be a couple surprises this year that not even I will see coming.

those black boots
and to feel good on your feet
as you danced the night away.
This was your moment to show them what you are truly made of.
You know what you are capable of but you don’t know how to stand up and take what is yours.
So today in your nice boots take back what is yours and the strength to keep everyone motivated and to strive to do the best you have always tried to offer.

Expecting you to understand what I was going through these past days.
But there you were standing there with your hands out ready to support me.
As the year comes to an end I look back and I realize that I have been blessed with many things and people.
The warriors in my corner have grown so much that my battles are quickly won.
Nothing seems to take that long to figure out with all of you by my side day and night.
For I am truly blessed to have you all in my life and in my heart.

As New year’s eve ends , I realize I’m sad to see 2016 go but so excited to see what 2017 has to offer me.
I’m excited for the direction my life is going and my writing and I know I have nothing to worry about next year.
Because whatever happens I will embrace it all with open arms and enjoy the roller coaster I have to go on to get to the side I belong on.
Letting it all go and letting God take care of me and my life has been the best decision I have ever made.
My baggage is no longer suffocating me and I am free to walk away from the past with no string attached.
I’m light with nothing weighing me down as I walk through life with so much hope and faith and determine that it will all work out for me.
Happy Year’s everyone, I hope 2017 brings you so much hope and blessings that 2016 didn’t.
I know that WordPress community surely blessed me in 2016.
I know nothing but great writing is coming my way and my fellow bloggers.
This Year we will continue to inspire each other and support each other. Our work will touch many hearts and bring the joy someone may be looking for.
