So many things she wanted to change
just so that she could fit in.
No one told her, she had to be that way
but she felt that the pressure of feeling left out and she didn’t want to be alone anymore.
And so she broke herself to just be someone she couldn’t possibly ever be and in all the things she did.
What she became in the end was broken and lost and even though she was surrounded by all these new people.
The light that used to shine so bright through her now has dimmed out to the point she just a shell of a girl she used to be.
Empty and closed off she stood by the fire, wishing she could feel that light again.
