Daily Prompt: Precipice

Things are rocky

as we stand here

talking it out.

Only to feel like

everything is about

to go over this tall cliff.

Years of friendship just

going over and crashing

and burning.

And there is nothing you or I can do

about it at this time.

All there is left to do is looking over the

cliff and seeing all the pieces that used to

connect us together and feeling sad and at peace

at the same time.

For this is an ending to something that was great and

a beginning to something so much better for both of us.
