Daily Prompt: Glaring

He sat there with a giant smirk on his face

while she glared at the back of his head.

He thought he was so clever with forcing her to sit next to his best friend the whole ride to the cabin.

Just so he could make sure someone kept an eye on her.

she started to think of all the ways she could get him back as his brother talked her ear off for the first hour.

Before she fell asleep listening to her music.

She woke up when the car came to a complete stop.

The scenery around the cabin was beautiful.

It wasn’t what she imagined but everything was covered in a nice layer of snow.

And as they all exited the car, she knew this was her chance to get him back.

As she bent down and made a huge snowball, she throw it with all her might right at the center of his back.

knocking him off balanced and into the snow-covered ground on his butt.

He glared at her from the ground as his friends and her laughed at him and replayed the video of the whole incident.

Which He brother caught on her phone.

She smiled boldly at him as she knew messing with him had just began and, it would be two great weeks of fun for her.

This time of year

100 Word Wednesday: Week 31

Everyone is in a hurry to get to the conference of the year

so much to learn about but not enough time to sit back and enjoy it.

We all dress up in black with a couple people here and there wearing red.

We all stand around trying to catch up before the doors close and we sit in our somewhat comfortable seats.

The next four hours we will be listening and writing down notes about all the interesting things we will be learning in the hopes that next year will be even better.

Daily Prompt: Spicy

I enjoy spicy food the taste is always so good

the moment it touches my tongue the sometime the burn

sensation is worth it for the flavor is sometimes overwhelming.

And once you have that taste and experience with spicy food, you just

can’t go back to regular food that doesn’t get you that  burning sensation that

overwhelms every taste bud in your mouth.

And satisfies your stomach for the time being.

Daily Prompt: Carousel

As a child the merry-go-round was the ride every kid wanted to go on

with all the wooden horse that were so colorful.

You just wanted to ride them and wave to your parents as they stood off to the side of the ride.

Taking pictures of you having so much fun that when the ride came to a stop, you didn’t want to get off.

But, you did and you begged to go on it again and again.

Until you became to tired and it was time to go home and dream about what an awesome day you had.

I didn’t

see the love in your eyes anymore and just like that.

Before you could say the words, I knew this was over and I had lost you for good.

There was no going back and so I left you in the dust with all the old memories of my life.

I moved on to a point where when  I saw you walk past me the other day I didn’t call out to you.

I let you disappear in the hopes our path would not cross again.

Daily Prompt: Amble

It was so nice out today that I needed to take a nice slow stroll

and take a look at everything that is changing with the season coming to

an ending soon.

The morning beginning  to be cooler and something to look forward to, for I haven’t enjoyed a good morning in a while.

Just being able to enjoy the fresh air without sweating up my shirt in a matter of minutes.

My stroll helped clear my mind and help me enjoy the rest of my day as I feel like I hope the next couple of days start off this great as well.

Daily Prompt: Shimmer

I always enjoyed watching the sun shimmer on top of the water

as a child I thought it was magic for I didn’t know there was more too it.

It was just so beautiful and something that enhanced the beautiful calm flow of the river

as we walked in the shallow water of the river that day.

I would always splash you and you would always play like it pissed you off.

But, then I would look away and you would always splash me back and this would go on and on.

Until we would go home and change out of our wet clothes and eat a good meal.

Daily Prompt: Causal

She was tired from a long week of work and dressing causally for a day out

on the town.

She was happy to be enjoying the day off since lately all she saw around her were walls.

She smiled as the sun shined down on her and the nice breeze blew by her.

She was so excited to be out and enjoying her time with the ones she loved and even though she knew her days of being off were soon coming to an end.

She wouldn’t have traded this day and time for anything at all.

Poetry

How can I

put someone else in front of you

when all I keep doing is having dreams of you.

What do they mean when  I know the possibility of them becoming true is 100% not possible.

And I’m fine about that because you’re not on the table anymore and I can put whoever

I want above you and have them erase the memories of you so quickly.

I would be like you never exist to me and I’d be fine with that.

I have come around so much since you’ve been gone and I don’t doubt the things I do or say anymore.

No sadness always around me like a bad mood you just can’t shake after someone just ruined your sunny day.

I had those feelings for you but now I have those feelings for myself for I choose to love myself so when the right person comes around I will know who is worth my time.

And that I’m worth whoever comes my way but it’s always up to me if I want to explore the possibilities of it becoming more than it could be.

You were always my partner in crime

You were never scared of the things in this life.

That others feared like where would they end up in life

would they ever amount too much in the end.

You always knew that no matter what you end up during you would

do it to the best of your abilities.

You and I went on such great adventures that those memories will last

a lifetime for me.
