But over days the cake will become no good and like that your happiness is over and they leave you with how many pieces of cake left and is that happiness you grew to love worth it.
Or did over time that happiness fade a way for nothing is forever.

shadows I stand watching over you as life seems to pass you by.
You don’t seem to be found but lost in time with so much to think about that not much seems to get done for you.
You sit most of the days looking out the window hoping someone will come to your door and rescue you, but every day the sun goes down and it turns into night and no one comes.
So you eat and then you watch some more and then you turn off all the lights and you sleep only to repeat it all the next day.
Nothing new with you and sometimes I want to get involved and make your life a little more but who am I to interrupt your life and how you like to live it.
I was meant to watch and not touch the ribbons of your life but lately they are becoming so dark that I just don’t want to see the light truly go out of you.
Because standing in the dark taught me one thing: it isn’t a place you want to be if you ‘re someone full of life and has so much more to gain.

It’s getting
late, you say as we have been talking throughout the day
but it’s when we are both tired that communication seems to click like the keys on my keyboard after writing all day long.
Our talks seem to be more lengthen now as we have found a good pace in our friendship and have allowed those walls to come down.
Oh, how now looking back on those days I was grateful for them and now they are just a memory to store away.
As I lay my head down tonight and dream, maybe I’ll see you there as lately my past only surfaces when I close my eyes.
For when my eyes and mind are open, I don’t hear or see you anymore.
