Daily Prompt:Millions

There are always millions things going on in life.

That we can’t or can control and it’s never just you going though them.

When it’s good and when it’s bad there is only one person I want to have my back.

And that’s my lord God and I wouldn’t pick a million other people over him.

There are a million reasons I should believe in him and, I’m sure there are million reason some one else could say I shouldn’t believe and trust in him.

But,I  say haha for if I had the time I’d show you the many things that worked out for me because of him.

My life is worth more than I could put in words because of him.

I won’t settle for a millions of dollars or reasons life could be better without him.

Because I know these earthy things don’t have a greater hold on me than he does.

I’ll take my chances of being happy a million times over with him and my struggles a million times over with him.

Because alone I couldn’t do half of what I’m doing now or handle it on my own now.

They all

Said I would be able to amount to something great if I just stuck to the plan.

But, whose plan am I  to follow when God takes me from a path of no hope and nothing but disappointment and lack of faith in him and myself.

Which left me empty and alone with no light to guide me out of this darkness because, I  wanted to believe that we had the same dreams and goals so it would workout for me too.

But, God had other plans for me and only I understand for your still fighting me on how I  live my life.

Yet, in the end I will be happy and satisfied and you will still be wonder why  didn’t crash and burn.

The truth is you’re not suppose to know all the answer for my life and I  know you care but its time to let go and let God take care of me.

For my story is already written and I’m ready to live it out no matter where it leads me because so far the downs have helped me grow.

The ups are telling and showing me to trust and the answer will come for the results are  more than I could ever hope for.

My dreams have changed and I’m not the girl you knew three years ago, my story has changed and I’m so grateful for I’m living the life meant for me,and me only.

The gem

I sit there staring at the most beautiful gem

I have ever seen and the want to have it is so strong

It could knock me off my feet.

The color so bright it shines just like the sun, sometimes so bright it blinds you for a moment.

But, the beauty is so unreal it’s scary something so great could be so real and so close to being mine.

It doesn’t cost money or trading things to get, it just takes a bit of faith and hope and a little movement with  your nose.

Close your eyes and reach out and the gem would be mine.

For the gem was never a piece of treasure but your heart inside of you and I worked hard to make sure it was mine to protect and love for a lifetime.

My mistakes

I’ve made many mistakes in my lifetime

I can’t say I didn’t regret them all

I don’t think I remember them all either.

But the one’s I do remember, they are there as

Reminders that I’m just human and I must not

Rely on my mistakes to help me grow or be wiser.

I must leave my mistakes in the past and move forward

On my own and not use my mistakes to help me get up

When things seem so hard that I can’t go on without taking the easy way out.

But, I’ve realized I like myself more when I know I’ve done the right thing the right way the whole time.

And not only when I fear someone will find out, because my God is always watching so there is no moment I will get away with doing things the wrong way.

So goodbye mistakes I don’t think I will continue to grow old with you.
