October is

finally here

My birthday month

But also, it’s a little chilly this month, but I would rather be a little cold than hot.

It’s a perfect time to crave pumpkins and put up spooky decorations, but right now, I am calm as I cut off the top and pull out the guts and seeds inside.

It’s so calming to focus on a task that may be a little messy, but it’s a joy to see what kind of spooky face I can create.

Art takes a different form, and I am lucky to be creating it as I bundle up for warmth.

But it’s the joy and warmth inside of doing something that makes me get in the spirit of October and Halloween that truly delights me.

I am so excited about what October holds for me—and I hope it holds a lot, as this month will be one full of great memories for me!

So

I haven’t been acting like myself lately; it’s not a crime, yet you’re watching me as if I’m doing something wrong.

But it’s October, the month where being dark is just the way to go.

So why worry if I’m changing when I most likely be back to me on November 1st, and I won’t think twice about what I wore last month?

I’m still young why not have a little fun?

When I’m all done, I won’t regret the way I dressed or wore my makeup.

I will have lived fully, and that’s all I ever truly wanted to do.

October

you have arrived and you bring so cold air with you as fall finally comes around.

Yet, you still bring along your friend the rain who has rained too many times this summer that he isn’t really welcomed in October.

He wants to rain down and bring lots of grown in the grass and other things but right now he has over-stayed his welcome.

It’s time for the rain to take a  vacation and let the cold air be just enough for everyone to use a light jacket outside.

You welcome the cold and hope now you don’t get sick because well everyone is counting on you.

But, as fall comes and soon winter to follow you know that time is slowly running out and this year is soon to be over.

What will you bring October and will November follow with no rain and nothing but shine and just the right amount of cold and cheer too?
