Daily Prompt: Disobey

As a child disobeying your parent meant that you would be punished

for you knew what he shouldn’t do.

But, you  do it anyways for the feeling of getting caught was just to great to sit around and be good all the time.

You hoped you would get away with the act but sometimes you get caught and you have to accept the punishment that comes with the crime.

And you learn from your mistakes and maybe try a different way than you did last time and maybe this time you won’t get caught.

Daily Prompt: Sympathy

There is so much going on in the world that there is no way not to care about what would happen to other people.

Even though we may not know them, our hearts are still hoping that they are okay and we try to do all that we can do to help.

We may have to go on with our lives but there isn’t a moment that you don’t know what is going on and how it’s truly sad to see them going through so much.

To be caring for a complete stranger may just be apart of one’s life and it isn’t hard to just feel for them for a moment.

I know for me that my smile may just brighten someone’s day and I’m happy to be there to do that.

And to pray for those that are sick even though I don’t really know them and just try to be caring for everyone deserves a moment of kindness.

For that moment may just change their day or week.

Daily Prompt: Sympathy

Poetry

I’d like

to say I had a reason for walking  away from you that day

and that reason is the reason I’m so happy as I am today.

I am at peace and I know my worth and my hope is that I am

as strong as I was that day, because I have so much more to face today than I had back then.

The reason wouldn’t matter to you for you saw it as a weakness at the time for walking away from you was like ending a career right when things were getting good.

But, in reality it was more like deciding that money isn’t more important than taking care of myself.

For you can’t be good at what you love to do if your mind and heart are not in the right place.

Daily Prompt: Peculiar

She was unusually quiet today

That smile that brighten up rooms

was nowhere to be found.

Everyone was waiting for her to let them in on what was bothering her

but she never said a word to anyone and just stared on like she was dead inside.

It was like someone had knocked out the light inside of her and it was freaky to see such a happy person walk around like something was draining her down.

She worked as hard as before but the smile and laugh you loved to see and hear was gone.

She swear you heard her say something but yet the voice didn’t quite sound like her, she was the fresh air when you walked out your door and the sweet sounds of birds in the morning.

The cool breeze on a super hot day, she was the spring to the worst winter you had ever seen.

And now you felt so lost and the steps to figure it out just don’t seem possible when your light has dimmed and she isn’t there to guide you through this path your on now.

Daily Prompt: Overcome

I say I want to overcome something in life and I know there are steps that are needed to be taken.

But, maybe I’m just not ready to overcome them yet for the big picture of what has to happen is just too scary.

I take one step forward and end up taking two steps forward for the fear is living inside me.

The fear is so strong that the thought of overcoming this one thing just takes a hold of me and holds on so strong it’s like I’m frozen in time and just can’t shake this feeling off of me right now.

Daily Prompt: Overcome

Poetry

I sit

here letting it all sink in and of course my mood keeps changing as my thoughts think about what I have to do today.

So much has to be done and right now I just don’t feel like I have the energy to do it but I can’t back out and not do it.

I have to be so much that sometimes my brain just doesn’t want to be so reliable and for once I just want to be like those people who flake and no one is relaying on them because they know they can’t count on them.

But, I don’t want to be someone no one wants to not give a chance to because they have not kept their word.

I want to stand out and be someone you can count on but at the same time have my limits.

I want to be able to say no and not feel guilty because I just need a break for once.

Daily Prompt: Crescendo

As the crowd waits for the band to come out and the show to start

the many ages of people talking among each other, trying to stay busy and entertained.

As the lights start to dim and the anticipation among the crowd begins to increase to the point where you can’t even think straight.

The music starts off soft until the beat starts to increase making everyone so excited as they wait to hear their favorite song come on.

The show is a hit and everyone is talking among their group of friends about how they are so lucky to be here tonight and witness something so great.

People still singing the songs as they walk and run to catch the last train of the night and get home and completely knock out.

The next day the feeling of such a great night still running through their veins and they start to watch all the videos they made and start to post them to share it with all their friends and family.

Ride with me

100 Word Wednesday: Week 35

100WW_W35Image Credit Zachary Staines

Come take a ride with me on this quite day

Lets forget about all the things that are getting in our way.

Let’s enjoy the things that are right now and not the things

we can’t predict.

Let’s take our time to make things right and hope that the faith we have will hold strong

for us as we go down this path together as friends, as lovers, as two people who not only want the best for each other but other people as well.

We hope for a good future and know that it is coming for us soon and that no matter what we will get through it with something we’ve learned from it and maybe something we regret as well.

Only time will tell.

Daily Prompt: Finite

Were all limited to a certain amount of time here

in this world in our days.

Rather we are working or at school the time we are scheduled to be there sometimes is limited.

And as we try our hardest to try to get it all done it just doesn’t seem to work out no matter how much we put into it.

We all seem to feel our energy drain at the end of the day and we just have to accept that what we could do would have to be enough.

He said lets rough it  for the weekend

in a little place that we both have not been to.

It will be a good place to get to know each other

a place where we don’t have to worry about anyone else just each other.

I can get lost in your eyes and hold your hand without letting it go

when there’s just too many people around that their pulling us apart.

A place that will make us much stronger than before.
