I am

As strong and as proud

As my spirit animal the lion.

I am a leader and a protector

I am a learner and a lover.

I won’t quit or give up when someone tries to challenge me and I know the struggle will be rough.

But I will rise to the challenge and hopefully come out on top.

But if I don’t win I know I learned a lesson and will do better next time.

For being positive is the only way I want to live now.

OUR

Three Line Tales, Week 229

three line tales, week 229: someone trekking up the steps to the tower on top of Glastonbury Tor

Best times together are when we go on hikes or just being out in nature always made us both smile.

We knew that some days we could stay out for hours and talk and walk and just enjoy the nice breeze, but other days it would be too hot to stay out so we would turn around.

But today we got to really relax and we were prepared to walk and eat when we got hungry and we brought so much water. Oh how today will be one of the good days for us.

My light

guides me when I don’t know what to do

and lately its been a difficult to focus on anything other then my light.

It’s spreads out around me trying it’s best to keep the darkness at bay.

But, these days the light and darkness are dancing through out the day and night.

Maybe they will play nice and work together to keep my life balanced.

Then maybe things will be peaceful and less of a game of tug a war.

You

My take on June 13, 2020 Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC) the word is “cognizant.”

Feel you are cognizant on everything.

And as you stand around challenging everyone that you are and will always be the smarter one.

You don’t back down when someone tries to outsmart you or make a point to well correct you.

For you are always a step ahead of them for somehow you use your disadvantage against them.

And I’m starting to think you maybe be knowledgeable on most things and maybe a little crazy and scary too.

Four days

Is all the time I had to figure it all out .

But where to begin I ask myself

As I look out the window and see the sun sunny through.

Because it’s now day three and I still have no clue what to say and what to do.

I know tomorrow you will want answers but I still don’t know what to say to you.

As the sun starts to go down I know my time is slowly running out.

But I know once I see you the answer will finally come to me.

And maybe the outcome will be good or bad for you but I know I will be okay.

I stand

Up for myself and don’t back down when your coming at me.

But when it’s my time to leave I will fly away like a butterfly and it will be a beautiful sight.

But I won’t be coming back.

So enjoy the time you have with me for I’m not letting anything slide anymore.

My walls are up and getting to me won’t be as easy as it was in the past.

Why is

It that the little bit you give me

Just isn’t enough and when you make me feel.

This way it’s more frustrating than pleasant.

Am I getting too much inside my head that I am missing what my heart is saying?

Will this struggle ever end?

Or will I have to say the words I’ve been trying to hold in this whole time?

Too afraid to share for rejection has been more of a friend to me than being accepted for all of me.

Will you see me as others do?

Or will you be different?

I was

Always the quiet one

Where you had so much confidence and was not afraid to voice your opinion.

But we both have great smiles that light up a room and warm the hearts around us.

We both care

And where you are slow to anger

I am quick like a forest fire and sometimes containing me is near impossible.

But, somehow with just a simple word here and there.

You calm me like still water after a storm.

I could be mad at you but every time it fades away the moment you smile or look my way.

We’re so different but so much alike that some times it’s hard to read between the lines.

When it comes to you and me.

What will we become?

Maybe it’s best to not know for now and let faith and fate guide our way.
