Life

Can be light and so freeing

Like the breeze of air flowing into your life, like a lovely day in the fall, sometimes life can seem so dark, like the night.

You told me to keep quiet for who knows what’s lurking in the shadows.

But my voice is like a bird. Sometimes, it can’t be silent to protect those who play the victim card all the time out of fear of being turned in because they’re always looking for a way to blame others for the problems they don’t want to face.

To be silent again feels like being that little girl who had a voice but was too afraid to speak up for fear of others turning on her.

But I’m not that little girl anymore, and I won’t go back to the past where her voice didn’t matter.

For I know her voice matters and so does mine.

So, where do we go if we can’t say what needs to be told in this place anymore?

Oh god

Why have I been fighting you on what to do?

Because I tried it my way, and I burned out

All that was around me was darkness, and yet I still stumbled around like a fool.

Only to see when I came out, you were there with light to guide me in a new way.

And yet, I stubbornly still tried to do it my way.

Only to end up not doing much of anything

And then the light bulb went off, and I realized the things I could do were because they were what you needed me to do.

The only way I could overcome this hurdle was to let you guide me.

So here I am doing what feels right and what you want, and now it’s what I wish for, too. And this way, I will get it all, but only when you say it is due.

Something happened

That day that even I still can’t explain even though it all played out in front of me.
The once brightest building in town went dark just six months ago as well, and the world turned upside down.
Then on the day when I myself felt trapped in a place that felt so cold and dark.
I looked up at the sky and begged for him to light my way and as I closed my eyes to finish up my prayer.
I felt that love and light pour over me, and when I opened my eyes, the top of that building was lit up again.
Not only did he save me that day, but he also saved that building.
And the hope and faith that had died in some of us while things were looking so dull and unsatisfying.
That light lit up the sky and our souls that day as we all began to walk with purpose again.
With hope in our hearts that we would be able to defeat whatever comes our way from this day on.

OUR

Three Line Tales, Week 229

three line tales, week 229: someone trekking up the steps to the tower on top of Glastonbury Tor

Best times together are when we go on hikes or just being out in nature always made us both smile.

We knew that some days we could stay out for hours and talk and walk and just enjoy the nice breeze, but other days it would be too hot to stay out so we would turn around.

But today we got to really relax and we were prepared to walk and eat when we got hungry and we brought so much water. Oh how today will be one of the good days for us.

Your light

Photo by Brad Lloyd on Unsplash

shines brightly from with in you as you stand there in front of me.

Yes lately things have been overwhelming but your faith and strength has got you through it.

And no matter what has came or been thrown your way.

You allowed yourself a second to feel the frustration and then you prayed on it.

And soon that peace and calmness has washed over you leaving you with no worries.

For light has won the battle again, leaving the darkness scratching his head again.

Night

Dark

Day bright.

But all I feel and know is fading in front of me.

Like the street night that slowly goes out as the sunrises each morning.

Searching for clues that will solve what you need to know.

May turn out to be great or they may shake-up your life for good.

And once those secrets are our there is no going back to what you thought was the full truth.

I’m in

a mood and no matter how hard I seem to try to shake it off the darker it gets around me.

And I’m not sure my light will be enough to guide my way out of this mess I got myself into this time.

I know that if I try things will be better but here I am trying to see the light in this situation and it just so hard this time to get through the journey that feels like its on a loop and when I feel the change about to happen it skips and there I am again facing the same stuff.

There is no good outcome if I don’t get out of this moment soon and fast because I don’t want to be forgotten because I couldn’t get pass this gate of unwanted thoughts and feelings that trap you.

And once your in the ability to get out really is like living in a world with lights on and then it all shuts down and you have to use the strength and memory to get through it or you will be stuck inside your own mind forever.

I just hope I get out in time for I’ve heard the click and I know this isn’t it for me this time around and hopefully this will be the last of this torture.

To think

of warmer days and to feel the warm always on me.

So cold outside and inside is making these days very hard.

As I grow cold very quickly and time doesn’t go by as fast as I would like.

I know warmer days are coming and I am really looking forward to so much more.

Today is cold now but soon it will warm up and nothing will be in my way as I begin to explore what this world has to offer me again.

To beat

the cold I had to put on my fur and have my lantern  guide the way as I travel back to my home on this almost dark night.

This winter has barely arrived and already it is cold and warm than back to cold and frankly I have had enough and I just want to cuddle up and not be bother with the cold air form outside.

But tonight I have to  acknowledge all that is going on around me for I have so much to look for and to look forward too.

For the winter has delivered me something to be grateful for.

Merry Christmas

 To everyone or happy Hanukkah.

I hope we all enjoy this day even if some of you have to work.

Just be grateful you get to see the day and share the joy with whoever you can.

Enjoy the time with family and friends and enjoy the little moments that will pop up through out the day.

And just know that even if you didn’t get what you wanted, I’m sure you got what you needed and if not don’t wait around for someone else to give it to you.

Because in just a few days it will be a new year and I hope you have plans to make things different but for now have a merry Christmas and I hope every moment of your day is blessed and full of love and laughter.
