Cold anymore

To just think of how cold it has been sends a shiver down my spine.

To see it’s now back in the two digits and getting close to the fifties feels better.

But the cold is still here and it makes me want to skip winter and go to spring but I know spring won’t last long enough.

And I will be begging for summer to be over and fall to be here.

So for now I will layer up and enjoy being wrapped in blankets and have the appropriate jackets and clothes for outdoors.

And the right time comes so will spring and for now I will enjoy my teas and hot chocolate and watch movies and TV shows that are set to warmer climates.

  1. Everything in its season. I like cold weather in the winter because when it’s abnormally warm, all types of creatures that are supposed to hibernate or at least just go away (think insects, earthworms, etc.) hang around. The same for animals.

And if you’re a homeowner, you breathe a sigh of relief when the grass-growing season is over, especially if you have to pay someone to mow it. It’s not 99.9 degrees in the shade, nor are you sweating like a pig because of it.

You’re not raking 50 freakin’ bags of leaves in the fall.

I can wait for each season to come when it comes.

    1. Good point, I guess it is nice not to see certain insects around when it is cold out. I just dislike the cold because of my sinuses and how when it’s too cold all I feel is a brick of ice on my forehead and I can’t think. But I guess the cold does have its benefits too.
