Letting

go of winter and letting spring in as the days  get warmer and the layers start to fall off.

To be able to breathe in the fresh air and to feel the warmth from the sun on my skin.

I know the warmth comes with many rainy days but just to have one nice day is all that I am looking forward too now.

To be able to want to stay outside longer than five minutes if that is even bearable.

To fall and not worry about getting back up so quickly in fear you may get sick or freeze to death.

To just completely let everything around you just slow down and pause for a second or more and to truly be able to think through all you have been going through.

It’s

Three Line Tales, Week 164

three line tales, week 164: a couple on a road trip

been a while since it’s just been us two alone in this moment of just driving down the road in search of a new location.

A new view to look out and in these moments be grateful that our love is still holding on for there have been times when we just couldn’t see eye to eye.

And in those moments I was scared and just not looking forward to an end of us but we came through the storm stronger than ever and that’s all that counts.

You

Want me to do more and get out of here and expand the beauty of where I am now.

To see something other than the four walls around me.

I know I need to live a little more and be in moments where joy and excitement is all I feel before exhaustion takes over.

I need to see more rainbows and less rain storms and to find something amazing at the end of my day.

Take the time to experience things that are great and entertaining.

Moments that show all the many sides of me.

I knew

I needed this vacation more now than ever and as I arrived in this place so beautiful with such relaxing vibes all around.

I knew the feeling inside of me would be healed and hopefully by the time it was time to head back things will be easier and better for me.

But, on my last day there as I walked down to the ocean to just feel the water on my feet, I felt the emptiness in my heart return and I realized that no matter how far I run away if I don’t fix the problem soon the sadness will be all that consumes me.

All the things that I love to do will be not even a thought away and all the time spent reading or walking outside to just feel the breeze on my face will not be something I will want.

For by then laying in bed and keeping the light out will be something I need more than ever and the truth is I don’t want to go back to that feeling again.

I just want to feel relaxed and excited for the little things in my life and look forward for the new things to come my way.

read today is not the question running through your head right now but, what to read when there is so much to choose from right in front of me right now.

To be able to get lost in words that will touch your soul and you will surely remember from time to time those great words that you read.

But, for now you must pick at least two or three books and go home before the weather gets bad again and just enjoy a good read.

How

do I know

this moment

this second

is where I’m supposed to be.

Am I doing the right thing

because it feels like what I need to do

because if I’m truly being honest it all just feels like a waste of time and energy to try this hard for something that just keeps stabbing me in the back.

a little break to eat something before I go back to rushing around.

Trying to stay focus even though right now my mind isn’t up to speed for it needs more time to wine down.

But, the time to just relax is right now as I focus on the things in front of me and not the things going on around me.

Stay Focus  I say when I’m being pulled into a space that could be solved by someone else but has been put on my plate.

Just a little moment of peace is all it takes to try to regroup and come back stronger than before in hope to get more done.

I know

Now is not the time for me to give up

even though some people are trying so hard to keep me down.

As some very big changes happen in my life

they see no concern about the storm that is going on around them for they are safe.

The fight to stay strong is growing more and more each day so the fight is not over yet.

an owl

I’m always up at night trying to enjoy the little moments left in the day.

So tonight I’m going out to let loose and finally let my hair down and just experience each moment that comes my way.

It’s been too long since I’ve just let myself truly breathe and live again after just pushing through a long day at work.

Hoping

That the things that happen today.

Are not going to bleed into tomorrow is sometimes easier to hope about.

These moments before you have to go back to being the other person you become once you walk out that door.

Is only temporary and when you come back that person fades away until next time.

You try with all your might to not let both worlds become one for you know there is more anger and drama in one and not much going on in the other.

To have peace and to have understanding with all the people you deal with is nice from time to time.

For your hope to become more than what you thought was possible feels amazing and not a burden either for once feels so good you hope this feeling doesn’t ever go away.

Letting

ali-yahya-1350571-unsplashPhoto by Ali Yahya on Unsplash

It all go as I dive into this book

reading about things I didn’t know.

Losing myself in a world that is more than me

More than the problems that bother me outside my home.

The words that are so powerful you can feel the emotions behind them

and almost see the scene of the story play out in front of your eyes.

As if you are in that moment feeling their pain and feeling their joy.

You are learning what they learn and building up your strength when they thought the weakness would be too strong for them to overcome.

And in that moment I am lost but a good lost

one that leaves me feeling at peace.

Can

we just talk about the things that causing so much frustration around here lately.

Lets help solve this situation and then let go of all the things that should never have been brought in this place in the first place.

Let’s start to use our minds and hearts when it comes to the things that is happening around us right now.

We’re all just holding on by a rope right now and when I look around I only see one hand holding on and their all looking else where.

I think I’ve always known we would all go separate ways and even though I know when that moment comes it will be bitter-sweet for us all but, I know that we will stay close and connected.

For this bond that we’ve made is good and strong and right now we are all the support we got right now.

Together we can overcome so much but, we are only human and we do get tired at times and the fight to get back up is becoming so much harder to do.

Light

that surrounds me could be me in my final moment when

I am free to go to my true home.

I wonder what it would feel like to not be tied to a world that is full of so much hate and people don’t see all the love that it has to offer.

Because we are hurting each other more because, it is better to fit in then be the one that is different.

And maybe that was true in some point in your life but, as you get older I hope you respect  those that seemed different and embrace them for who they are for I want to be in that light moment with nothing holding me back.

With the feeling that I put all my love and care out there into the world and I leave with peace and happiness on my face with no fear or sadness because I know that I’ve done all that I could.

Embracing the light so many before me have done and when it is my time which I hope is not for a long time.

I hope that at least once I touched someone’s heart or helped them out and even though I may not know it, I am okay with that because it is not my place to receive the glory for doing something good or right for someone else.

I’m not

going to lie or try to hide how I feel right now.

So I’ll just keep my mouth shut and not say anything at all.

I don’t want to tell you what your supposed to be doing because well I’m not the boss of you.

But, it’s weird and just plain unfair when I do more than you and yet, at the end of the day you think and believe you did it all by yourself.

I’m not going to lie but sometimes you really piss me off and I want to tell you off but, I realize what good would that serve when you never seem to listen.

I don’t want to waste my words on someone who won’t take what I have to say to heart.

WINTER

100ww_w104Photo by Filip Gielda

Storm here you come to make an already cold day colder and wetter than before, I don’t know if you care but we don’t want this storm or need it either.

We hope it just quickly ends and we can move on to spring for we got the cold weather and have got through those days.

Now we don’t want to think about snow and how much it may cost us in the long haul, all I want to do is not worry about the things I can’t control but for now I will just do what needs to be done and go out into the storm.
