Your light

Week 260 of Three Line Tales

It shines so brightly this year as if something has changed in you.

I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it moves me every time I am around you.

Like you are a beacon of light guiding me to be a better and lighter life, and now I feel I have so much more to look forward to.

When did

things go so wrong
where all I feel is anger and no understanding
about this matter at hand.
I know there will be a light at the end of this storm,
but just when I thought I would see the rainbow, it all comes crashing down again.
Leaving me trying to take a breather to handle what is coming my way yet again.
Making so many thoughts come up as I feel I’m back in an environment that is not good for me or anyone at this point.
But like everything else in my life, I have to keep moving forward, and maybe one day, things will finally be good again.

Is success

The only thing worth living for?

Sometimes it seems like all you want is to be on top and the moments that test you.

You don’t want to deal with those things out of fear that they will change the plan you have carefully laid out for yourself.

But you don’t see that sometimes you have to just go for the ride.

And in the end, the path you end up on is the path you were looking for all this time.

So stop trying to be in control all the time.

for you do not know what you are holding yourself back from.

So let go and just live in the moments.

That

Photo by Gabriel Silvério on Unsplash

smile on your face shows your happiness today.

Even though the heat you have kept that smile on your face.

These days that smile is always nice to see as the world around us falls apart day after day.

So much sadness and facts and events going on that you try to lock yourself away from it all and focus on the good moments.

For life really seems short these days with the possibilities that things will and cant last that long.

Everything is changing and the chance that things get better seem so slim right now but you don’t give up for you know there is still hope.

With you red hair shining bright as the sun that day with hope of showing off your red lipstick trying to show that the little things in life still count.

You stood

there in the field so still and patient for the first time in such a long time.

I know lately we have both been moving around a lot and our time together has faded out sometimes.

But in this moment as I snap picture after picture of you in the field that day I can only smile and enjoy this moment together and I just hope your smiling under that helmet too.

I’m sure

There are many misanthrope out there.

And I’m pretty sure I’ve met some of them too.

You the ones that just come up to you and you smile and they glare at you.

But I’m sure some are hiding it well just to get by in the world.

But once they are behind closed doors they ignore everyone and everything.

Only to be seen once Monday comes around.

And then it’s glares and soft spoken words of why do humans exist and why won’t they all just leave me alone.

Do you

Photo by Jr Korpa on Unsplash

See me

Or hear me

Through all the mess

And the noise around us today.

Or is it the mess that scares you away

Or the darkness that is all around me?

Or do you walk closer because of the light inside of me?

That is slowly growing as you sense there is more to me than meets the eye.

Please take a chance on me!

I promise you won’t regret it as the light swallows us up.

Letting us see the things we never thought were impossible for us.

The darkness

This Thursday writing prompt ~ Darkness

Is rolling in and I know the light in me has a great battle ahead of it.

Will the darkness win this time for I am far too tired.

To keep these battles going and so this time I will trust that the light in me is strong enough.

And this dark cloud in my life will past too.

But, the truth is I’m hoping for a lighter situation after this.

For this season has been crazy and the relief that there will be a joy is feeling harder to believe.

For sometimes seeing something is all you hope for.

Because words can fade but memories last a little longer.

In such

A short time we have become your angels

Standing behind you no matter what.

Trusting in each other as the night goes on and dark becomes light as we are together into the morning each day.

As a little family, we look out for each other.

We lift each other up and eagerly await to learn more from each other.

So intertwined we can almost read each other’s minds.

We are forever connected no matter where we may end up going at the end of the day.

No issues as we connect over and over again.

Forever loyal to one another.

With no doubt, we have each other back.

Whether we are questioned today or tomorrow.

It’s been

Three Line Tales, Week 231

a long day and even the thought of getting on my bike and going down this path.

I feels like too much even though I know I would get home quicker if I just hopped on.

But the view of the sun setting makes me want to take my time for I know once I’m inside I won’t appreciate it as much.

To feel

Like it’s too soon to reach out to you again.

Even though being around you is like experiencing Christmas every day.

Your words are as sweet as chocolate and every time you say something I melt a little more.

You’re always so cheerful and jolly, like a good Christmas song.

You’re like the warmth of a fire I just want to be near on a chilly day.

You ‘re like a fan on an overly hot day, keeping me cool as the temperature keeps going up.

Your my marshmallows in my hot chocolate making an already sweet drink sweeter.

Your a nice night on the town, an memory worth cherishing.

Nothing about you is forgettable and for that I am so grateful.

For I know like every season I look forward to seeing you and experiencing the changes that come my way.

They say or you might lose your head.

For walking under this path during a storm may just cost you more than you thought.

Even on a nice day as today being cautious and minding your head may just be what you need.

If only

I could get you out of my mind.

If only for a day than I could stop

Being so angry and confused and just living between those to emotions all day.

I just need to get you out

I’ve tried music and exercise to bring myself to exhaustion.

And only when I sleep do I not see your face or think of you.

If only this could last more than six to eight hours.

You

My take on June 13, 2020 Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC) the word is “cognizant.”

Feel you are cognizant on everything.

And as you stand around challenging everyone that you are and will always be the smarter one.

You don’t back down when someone tries to outsmart you or make a point to well correct you.

For you are always a step ahead of them for somehow you use your disadvantage against them.

And I’m starting to think you maybe be knowledgeable on most things and maybe a little crazy and scary too.

Feeling

Restless

Hopeless

All-around a mess.

For I don’t know what is next

For these feelings are something new and well they are intense.

Time doesn’t make the joy and pain go away and the time and energy to hide them is fading away.

Like today which is almost over and no word has been said and so I wait and maybe one day you will appreciate my time.
