Daily Prompt: Gratitude

So much to be thankful for that sometimes it’s hard to say the words that need to be said.

For so many emotions sometimes just become overwhelming and I just need to take sometime to process it all before I can just let it out.

But, when I am so thankful for someone I let them know and I try not to wait so long for life is short and missed opportunities sometimes eat you up inside when the one you want to say the words to are not around anymore and there is no amount of wishing to bring them back.

Be thankful for every moment you get with the ones you love and be thankful that you get the chance to survive to see another day even if that day wasn’t that great.

For one day everything will just click and you will wonder how lucky you got to live the life you are living now.

Daily Prompt: Prefer

I prefer a quiet day of reading or watching a good movie and staying inside.

I prefer to just relax and not move much after all week at work

I prefer to not really be bothered seeing people for two days after seeing them all week and most of them were nice and with a couple of bad seeds here and there.

I prefer to be around lots of people when I’m dying to see someone perform live and I just lucked out on the tickets.

I prefer to be me and let some people in for it would be selfish to keep myself all to myself.

I prefer to be quiet sometimes and just watch the things in life on the sideline

I prefer the truth over lies even if it hurts me

I prefer to believe in God and live my life with him as my savior and try not to judge those that don’t for we all have to decide the way we want to live.

I prefer to be hopeful and positive for being negative really doesn’t get you anywhere fast.

I prefer to be a little awkward and weird just because being normal is just way to boring.

I prefer lots of things in life but if I keep listing them I think you would be here all day and would probably at some point prefer to stop reading and go to sleep.

Daily Prompt: Orange

As Halloween is soon approaching

little ones run around in customers

as different place do trick or treating events before the big day.

It’s not a surprise to see lots of people wearing orange and black

with random spiders on their face.

It doesn’t seem to matter how old you get the little kid inside of you that loves Halloween just wants to come out and play.

And possibly eat some candy too.

Orange pumpkins line up two by two on almost every door step and kids carve them with their parents in hope to light them and scary them on the big night.

Some pumpkins are just silly looking and you can’t seem to stop smiling when you see the child tell you all about what they did to create such a silly little pumpkin.

So pumpkins are more for decoration  with many silly faces just to be called an art piece and something that took time to put some nice details into.

Trust me with the things you love the most, for there will come a time when you will truly need me.

I want that time to come and for you to have no doubt in your mind that it will work out in the end.

There will be no moment when you will regret the choice you made but, instead be grateful that you had someone to share this moment with.

Daily Prompt: Surreal

This moment seemed so surreal as it begun and ended nicely

no problems came up.

Which seemed unusual for everyday and night there was always at least one or two issues that would arise.

Someone would mess up or someone would come in and bring their bad day onto us and we would deal with it for life is too short to let others bring us down.

I’ll take the unusual moments over the usual ones for life needs a little more peace in it.

Daily Prompt: Identity

Who am I

Who was I

Am I lost to who I used to be.

Will I ever become who I used to be

or is who I am now a better choice.

Will this second chance at a better life workout for me or will it continue to be so lonely

nothing seems to be what it used to be and now the answers I desperately need are nowhere to be found.

Will I ever know who I am meant to be.

Daily Prompt: Trademark

Your smile is your trademark

you sell it to everyone when you first meet them.

It makes you seem so much more friendly and so approachable.

Every-time I mentioned your name, your smile was first thing they said about you.

Your friendliness always seems to help bring others out of their funk and make them appreciate the little things in their life.

You’re the light everyone needs to own themselves and everything around them.

Daily Prompt: Cacophony

The noise was so loud that she didn’t enjoy it but she was thrilled to be here

for she knew she wouldn’t get a chance like this again.

She enjoyed the show but wished it was quieter for the noise really made her have a headache.

And made her drive home so unpleasant but that night she would remember for quite a while and would share it with anyone who would sit down and listen.

Daily Prompt: Enlighten

She needed him to know the truth

to enlighten him on somethings.

He didn’t want to listen for he thought he knew all

that was to come of him.

He said the things that she knew were from the past and he knew the present

He didn’t need advice for he was on the right track.

He felt those that need advice were those  that needed help to get things right and in order.

He had order in his life and control over what was happening and he didn’t fear that something would go wrong.

Daily Prompt: Expect

I expected you to be there but as I looked out onto the stage you were not there.

My nerves started to get the best of me as I continued to look out into the crowd.

But, then you walked in and the lights dimmed and I smiled and found my place.

The show started and we all did well, I stood up straight and said my line with perfection.

The crowd went wild as the show ended, so much applause.

With big smiles on our faces we all took a bow.

And as the curtain went down you ran up to me and placed a single rose in my hand.

The perfect ending to a wonderful night.

Daily Prompt: Release

I stood in that field all alone on a cold night

as the rain poured down.

I leaned back my head and let out the anger that was inside me

the scream felt like it had lasted for hours from the weight that was lifted off of me.

I felt so free after it and I knew this was what I needed to release because if I didn’t I would snap at you and that wouldn’t be right.

As I walked through the door an hour later, you were waiting for me patiently knowing that I needed my time alone and now I was ready to let you in.

All night we talked until the pressure that was on my mind and heart was gone and I could breathe and smile again and truly be happy and feel safe with you.

I know now that I Should have released all this pain years ago but, now that it is gone I’m happy and at peace with what was and what is to come.

Daily Prompt: Express

Please express how you feel before I walk out that door

I’ve waited for so long trying to have patience because I wanted to give you space.

But, in the end it didn’t even work out because now I just can’t stand by and have you sometimes show me how you feel and other times play it off like we’re just friends.

I don’t want to seem like the one making stuff up but, I’m not the only one seeing you this way.

So I’m putting my foot down and I’m letting you know how I feel and if you don’t want to share with me tonight.

Then lets just leave what happened before in the past and lets just be friends and that be the end of it.

For I don’t play games with those I care about and mean something to me.

Today may be the last time you get to see a certain side of me but, you had your chance and once I walk out that door the wall is back up and everything you saw before will be gone.

But, tomorrow I promise you that I will be your friend but, you need to now give me the time to get over what you’ve done.

And, when I come back don’t try to win me back as more than your friend for you’ve had your time and I won’t be made a fool twice.

Come have fun with me

100 word Wednesday week 41

Come with me and let’s have some fun on rides that make you scream and forget about all your daily troubles.

Forget about the little things that have being making you feel down and just laugh with me until it’s dark outside and your too tired to stay awake.

Until your day and life are good again because you feel good again and the bad things in life won’t bring you down for a while.

Daily Prompt: Brave

I want to be brave like you and take on the world with so much courage

To smile at the people who try to bring me down.

I want to stand up for myself like you do

you don’t let anyone get in your way.

You didn’t become brave because someone told you too

You just did it because you wanted to be strong enough so that nothing could bring you down.

Your smile and strength is one of the things I love about you, but when you showed how it’s not so hard to be brave to that little boy it melted my heart.

And to see that little guy turn around and stand up for himself  it was a sweet moment.

Daily Prompt: Risky

I enjoy risk and what comes with them the feeling of your heart beating so fast

that you can hear it in your ears.

The adrenaline pumping through my body as the thrill of doing something that could be risky and end up bad.

Doesn’t stop me from jumping over that fence and running through that lawn.

Taking the picture of that statue even though the sign ahead clearly says not too.

Or having your flash on even though the sign clearly states no flash allowed.

Or sneaky in snacks and drinks into places that only want you to buy their stuff.

I’ll take the risk anytime and deal with the aftermath later on.
