The fog overcomes me and
My eyes can’t see what’s going
on in front of me anymore.
For I’m blinded by the truth
I know that things could be different.
but I don‘t want to walk away from my
Fog that has become my comfort zone.
I control my fog and yet I crave it and to
Let it go would mean I could see everything
So clear and I’m not sure I’m ready for that
yet.

ready to let it all in.
I’m not afraid to put it
out there my words, myself.
As the sun shines down on this day
I am who I am suppose to be and I’m
so full with truth, with love and understanding today.
That I feel like I could burst any minute now and
shower you all with the light and joy inside me
that I want to smile at you all.
And hope my smile just breaks through the sadness,
the disappointment, the loneliness or whatever emotions
your feeling.
And make you feel like even when you feel like it’s too much that
I’m here a friend, who may be a stranger but true to knowing life
may not bring a smile to your face everyday.
But that you can pocket my smile, and my joy, my light and pull it out
when you feel yours isn’t quite strong enough today.

I thought I knew you
someone who wanted to better their self.
But in reality, you just wanted attention
and if you received it great but if someone
just didn’t give it.
That was so not acceptable
you were fake down to everything that
made you who you are and were.
Sometimes it’s hard to see the fake people
for who they truly are.
For they put a smile on their face when they see
you, but inside they dislike you for your different.
You stay true to yourself even when they try to
push you down the path of faking it until you make it.
But you see you for who you are, and you rather not end
up feeling lost.
You found your path and you rather not be dragged down
something that is fake and will end up causing you more
pain in the end.
Because when fake walks away with a smile on their face, knowing
that they ruined something that never needed to be fixed in the first place.
They have gained something that is yours, your worth and knowing
being different is better than fitting into the box of fake or normal.
Be yourself, never let the fake win in the end, for your worth is too important
to put into someone else’s hand.

You look at me and you
Wonder what you will find in me.
As you begin to toss out shirts and pants
And the pile of things begin to grow.
How dare you treat the things I grown to
Love that way, they’re my friends.
And I can’t do anything about it but sit here
And watch you finally find something to wear.
Then close my doors for I’m just a closet all alone
With nothing but the darkness to see my tears.

I want to say I took a deep breath that day
and really stopped and thought about what I
was going to say.
But I didn’t and so I’m now faced with
a face of anger that is so bright like the sun
that I’m blinded by the words.
I shouldn’t have said in the first place
I wonder if I apology and take the breath
I should have earlier, maybe things can be
fixed.

I will stand by and do what you need of me

when you need to calm down or try to push me away.

A WALK IN THE CLOUDS
I wonder what it would be like to walk so high above everything else?
If I could walk on the clouds and look down at you.
What would I see, would I see the truth of how your day is going?
Would it be so fun to walk on the clouds, would it be weird to feel them beneath my feet?
Would it be nice to be high above the storm that’s coming to rain down on your life?
To be above the many storms instead of in them, to not feel the pain, the sorrow, the dread of now knowing those horrible wick it storms are coming.

You make me giggle
when we chase each other
around.
Like children again we have nothing in the world to worry about.
When simple giggles are all we shared.
we’d roll around in the grass not caring if we get dirty.
Just glad to spend time together and to let the giggles fly around.
Until we realize we’re not young anymore, but let’s not let the giggles die away just because of our age.

I want to say that the words don’t keep popping up in my head
but they do and there isn’t a day that it doesn’t feel so sad.
There isn’t a moment when I don’t just want to say them and
it would be so easy and so freeing.
But, the timing is never right or the day just slips away and then
it’s to late.
The emotions bubble up inside and the tears threaten to fall but
I hold it all in and just think of it all and I wonder is it worth saying
out loud.
Or should I just keep it within me locked up like a box full of
secrets no one should know or just to precious to share.
Sometimes a little mystery is good, can’t let out all my secrets
Then I won’t have something to hide or share when the timing
is right.

I’m trying to see through the mask you put up as soon as the music came on.
You try to just fake the fun and move to the beat.
Until we become lost in the moment as we move our bodies to the beat.
We smile at each other for a lifetime as the day melts away.
As we enjoy the melody of this song together.
Even when we grow apart, I’ll think of that moment and smile about that time we had together.
We will always have that song, that day and those smiles that melted away our troubles that day.
