Your like abstract art
The path you seem to walk on are never the same.
Some are colorful and full of joy and others are quite dark and dull.
But, somehow you always end up coming back to the joy and, so when your down it seems so strange and not so ordinary.
Your words and beauty is so abstract that the things that seem ordinarily beautiful don’t stand a chance next to you.

I texted you and show how in all the things I said you seem to see a different meaning to everything.
Which left me so confused for there was nothing to read between the lines
what was said was quite simple.
Nothing left to code as if there was a hidden message
in a simple hello, how are doing? And are we still on for Friday?
It all came out as if we hadn’t talked in a while and that you were going to bail
as if I thought you couldn’t commit to hanging out.
I tried to calm you down and after an hour of going back and forth
you finally just gave up and said the answer I had to been looking for all along.
I’m good, and yea were still on for Friday.
Sometimes a little nuance can be quite annoying when there nothing to discover in the end.

You stood out so bright and red, that I could resistant but to stand next to you in my purple outfit.
I felt so bold and happy to find something as styles and beautiful as me and, for the first time in years I wasn’t afraid to get my photo taken.
So I leaned on you for some support and looked off into the distance as I became the focal of your photo.

I didn’t want my nervous to get me
as I stood there waiting for my turn to come.
I kept replaying the same words all over in my head
hoping they would all come out right.
This presentation was very important and I just really had
to blow them out of the water If I wanted to win it this year.
I was tired of coming in second place when I knew what I needed to
do to win first.
And so as I walked on that stage I knew I had what it took to win this thing
I just had to believe and trust that I could get through this and not worry about
the things that would set my nerves on fire.
Just smile and read and when it is all said and done IÂ won because, I was good enough and I guess second isn’t bad after all.
But, this year I walked off that stage with a smile on my face and first place trophy in my right hand.
Wishing them all a good year and that there was always next year to get up there and face their fears and come out on top.

I had to think carefully when it came to what I wanted in life.
For one simple decision could change everything.
And something’s there’s no going back to and soon it’s all left in the past.
To think deeply about the matter and not get distracted by other things in life.
Is hard but it has to be done sooner than later, if I want to live a certain way.

It had been a long time since I’ve seen you shine so bright
when he said goodbye to you years ago I thought you wouldn’t smile again
but one day out of the blue you smiled at me and said it looked like a great day for a walk and after that day you were never that sad again.

One moment your walking and the next
a large group of people swarm around you
like they are about to attack.
You begin to freak out a little as you don’t know
what is about to go down.
And then a car pulls up to the curb and he steps out
with a big smile on his face.
And you realize you just witness a group of fans waiting to swarm around a celebrity and you were never their prey.
You quickly move through the crowd to get to safety, as your heart rate slows down you let out a breath and move quickly down the street.
Back to the calm streets and soon you safe inside your home away from the swarm of unwelcome people.

Time has gone by for me to truly forget but I’ve forgiven you and now
I’m just trying to live my life without feeling like flashbacks of that day will break me.
I’m stronger than I ever been
I have to repeat that to myself everyday
just to believe it.
Or I fear I will crumpled up in the corner and not ever get back up
I don’t ever want to feel like I’m making the wrong move all the time.
That I attached to quickly and need to pump the brakes and slow down
To not listen to the voice inside of me when it screams danger or to stop listening to the lies.
I wanted to be loved so bad that I almost completely drowned myself and lost what was so pure about myself.
For what a feeling that was so confusing that it was never clear but a long never-ending cloud of smoke.

The intense feeling of that day always makes me feel like it was just yesterday
The words I remember so clearly even when the sound of the rain pouring down outside.
It was a Tuesday and I had just walked through the door with grocery bags in my hands and after putting it all away.
I took a nap only to wake up thirty minutes later with a text from you on my screen, the words still haunt me for I couldn’t begin to believe that they were true.
It was like watching up from a dream and realizing everything you just went through wasn’t just a dream and the end results are not temporary but life lasting.
All you want to do is scream and cry and go back to sleep so this nightmare would end
But, Â it doesn’t the day goes on and all that you read is coming more true and as everyone around you is trying to calm you down and be there for you.
And there isn’t a day that goes by that you just can’t forget what happened that day, when you lost such a large part of yourself and, you try everyday to live more and more for them and yourself.

I needed time to myself and I always found it on the waves
I needed to let it all go and not look back at the things that had
no place in my life anymore.
I missed the peace I used to feel when it was just me and the waves
The sound of the water at peace the beating of my still and happy heart.
I was home and I could accomplish so many things in this place where I was just me
No one to whisper untrue things in my ear, I heard the birds and as I rode the wave to the end and now I sit kicking my feet in the water with so much hope for today.
