That’s just ick

Prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “ick.” by its self or part of another word.

I didn’t want to hear about it as she kept talking about it all I can think was ick that’s disgusting.

Just the thought of what she was saying made me feel as if it was happening to me and I just wanted to run and wash the sticky feeling away from me.

It was like there was something sticky was  on my hand and it wouldn’t go away even when I washed my hands over and over again.

It was as if my mind was playing a game on me and the feeling and imagery was real even though it was all told to me and not in fact happening to me.

That’s just ick

Here are the rules:
1. Your post must be stream of consciousness writing, meaning no editing, (typos can be fixed) and minimal planning on what you’re going to write.
2. Your post can be as long or as short as you want it to be. One sentence – one thousand words. Fact, fiction, poetry – it doesn’t matter. Just let the words carry you along until you’re ready to stop.
3. There will be a prompt every week. I will post the prompt here on my blog on Friday, along with a reminder for you to join in. The prompt will be one random thing, but it will not be a subject. For instance, I will not say “Write about dogs”; the prompt will be more like, “Make your first sentence a question,” “Begin with the word ‘The’,” or simply a single word to get your started.
4. Ping back! It’s important, so that I and other people can come and read your post! For example, in your post you can write “This post is part of SoCS:” and then copy and paste the URL found in your address bar at the top of this post into yours.  Your link will show up in my comments for everyone to see. The most recent pingbacks will be found at the top. NOTE: Pingbacks only work from WordPress sites. If you’re self-hosted or are participating from another host, such as Blogger, please leave a link to your post in the comments below.
5. Read at least one other person’s blog who has linked back their post. Even better, read everyone’s! If you’re the first person to link back, you can check back later, or go to the previous week, by following my category, “Stream of Consciousness Saturday,” which you’ll find right below the “Like” button on my post.
6. Copy and paste the rules (if you’d like to) in your post. The more people who join in, the more new bloggers you’ll meet and the bigger your community will get!
7. As a suggestion, tag your post “SoCS” and/or “#SoCS” for more exposure and more views.
8. Have fun!

Lets take a bike ride to see the ocean the only calming view of our day

So we can forget the troubles that life is throwing our way and just relax for a couple of days.

And let the sun beat down on us as we let the wind blow in our hair before we start our journey back home and do fun things before our weekend is over and back to work we go.

Daily Prompt: Quill

One of Jimmy’s favorite memories as a kid was sitting in chair next to his grandpa and watching him write.

With a blue quill pen, his writing was always so nice and fancy.

Jimmy couldn’t wait to write that nicely

and once he was six his grandpa tried to teach him but his writing always ended up looking so sloppy.

he would practice and practice and still his writing never got better.

He finally gave up and one day while visiting his grandpa.

He saw a blue pen lying on the desk and grabbed it and started writing.

Everything he wrote looked so nice and neat that he hasn’t tried a quill pen since.

But, the blue quill pen his grandpa used to  use before he passed lies on his desk now.

As a reminder of their time together.

Daily Prompt: Tether

I feel like your pulling me by chain and every time you say something to me the

chain tightens and I feel like I can’t breath.

You promise so much and yet you leave me on

that chain with no hope of being free.

I try with all my might to break these chains and get my life

back on the right track.

But, no matter how hard I try it just won’t give and I’m slowly

losing my strength as I try to fight through this and survive.

When will my chain break off and I can breath lighter and feel

the weight of it all off my shoulders at last.

Daily Prompt: Pluck

He plucked the strings on his guitar as he got ready to play for his show

he was nervous about this show.

Like it was his first time playing in front of a large crowd

he lookout through the curtain and saw his best friends in the front row and

for first time that night he relaxed.

As the lights dimmed down and the guy noticed it was time for him and his band to go on

he put his hand on his guitar and plucked the strings as he led the song for his group.

His girlfriend sang the first song with all her heart and as they left the stage he completely felt they had accomplished what they came to do.

Showcase their talent to the crowd and have them fall in love with their sound and  support them through this journey.

Daily Prompt: Sail

I could sail away from my problems and fears.

And be out there in the big blue sea and just relax and not worry about what I left behind.

But, one day I’d want to go back and when I do the fears and problems will still be there.

So I must face them first and then sail away to just relax and come back to a more peaceful place.

Daily Prompt: Dash

I dashed inside as the rain begun to pour down so hard

for thirty minutes.

I watched it come down outside and I had to come up with a new plan

for I had no clue how my day would end up going but I hoped it would still

end on a great note.

As we begun to cook the food inside and come up with fun games to play while the rain poured down so hard outside.

And soon we all forgot about the rain and just enjoyed the fun we were having together.

Daily Prompt: Scamper

He darted from around the corner like something was on fire

I walked slowly and looked around the corner

to see what is going on.

Only to have to walk a little farther and see ripped up paper on the ground

and my dog sitting on the couch like he did nothing and the paper was always that way.

Lesson learned don’t take your eye off a dog that loves to rip things up and does it only when you think his with someone else playing.

But, should know better because everything just became too quiet around this house.
