In the distance

Photo by Soma Laszlo on Unsplash

was a town built on a hill.

It’s hidden by the clouds, clouds that protect them on a stormy day.

But when the sky is clear that same town is beautiful and stands strong and proud.

Waiting for someone to visit and have eyes wide with wonder and delight as they experience this town for the first time.

Is always delightful and breathtaking as the view is one you have not seen before.

A town that makes getting away worth it and it helps you clear your mind and found what you truly love inside.

A town that appreciates you and values what you have to offer whether small or big.

A town worth staying for, because there is growth and understanding, and kindness.

As I

reach to the sky, a rainbow appears,

lighting up my day, and I praise the lord for another great day ahead of me.

For nothing can ruin this moment that lights me up inside and has me skipping through life like no puddle is too big for me to handle or walk through.

That even if it pours, I will still have this memory to look back on and know that I can make it through the storm once I can make it through it again and again until the lord tells me it is my time to let go.

But for now I will be caution and try not to be so reckless while living with so much risk and love and good energy for I’m on a journey where I’m not ready to let go and I just want to keep going up and to never feel like I’m falling again.

You know

nothing as you look into the deepest parts of me today.

Your eyes are open and your mouth is no longer speaking lies about me, as you now know the truth.

And even you can’t seem to want to repeat what you know now, for it’s too much for you to process all at once.

And like a computer, if you try to put it all together too quickly you will crash and maybe you will recover some facts but not all of it.

So you sit quietly there feeling like this is such an honor to know my truth and I let you believe that as I finally get some quiet and peace now that your ugliness is no more.

As the words

Week 280 of Three Line Tales

Flow from your mouth, I want to say, “are you happy now?”.

For I know being nasty and rude isn’t going to work out for you in the end, and I know you won’t change either.

So as I walk away with a smile on my face, and a look of surprise on yours. I know you’re not happy now because I didn’t react the way you wanted me to, and that’s okay you can’t always get your way.

What am I to do

At this moment in time, I’ve waited far too long for answers and peace of mind.

The answers to this situation are clear I will be left in the dark and this moment will last longer than it should but the truth is you will never admit you’re wrong.

Standing here waiting alone as it starts to get dark outside, apart of me still hopes you will show up this time.

Only God knows you won’t show up.

And you eventually will call only not in time for me to be there for you anymore

Running in

And out of this place like I have nowhere to go and so I come back time and time again.

Only to find nothing is different but everything is the same and so I go insane.

I guess it was wishful thinking that things would be different this time around.

Wishing everything wasn’t a mess but that this storm I’m standing in now was just a dream.

And when I open my eyes I will have just been daydreaming and the outcome of my life wouldn’t still be unclear.

But I know if I keep taking one step at a time when the timing is right.

Everything that is meant to be will be and this half-finished story of my life will fill up in no time like a thousand-piece puzzle.

With patience and concentration, I can and will overcome this place.
