Daily Prompt: Candid

Wouldn’t you want to be truthful to the one’s that need to hear the truth

maybe in the end the situation would be better.

The truth will set you free and maybe you will like that but, maybe you will not want to be bothered with the truth for it’s better to just accept.

That maybe everything isn’t as great as you thought but, at least the truth is out and everything makes so much more sense.

In this

place I accepted who I was and what I had become.

I was broken but yet healed, the past was long gone but the scars felt so fresh some days.

That it’s hard to move on even when the moments now are good.

It’s like listening to the same song over and over again even sang by different people the meaning behind the words still haunt you to your core.

You want to truly express who you are and what you stand for and as you continue to write every day.

Each piece taking a little bit of you with it and you begin to feel this feeling of pride every time you finish a piece.

But, then hard times come and your words become few and you begin to wonder if what you wrote was any good.

All that you’ve loved is hard to gasp with some much darkness swallowing you up.

And, all you want to do is cry out for help but there is no one who will hear your call.

All that you’ve accepted and loved is lost with you now.

Daily Prompt: Study

I study the words in front of me and I get ready to give the speech of my life

but the nerves are building up inside of me and I just don’t know if I can do this.

Practicing the words when I’m alone helps but then I see all the faces and how bored they seem and I realize what if they don’t like it.

What if they think how could they ask her to do this when she clearly can’t do this just look at her, the nerves are written all over her face.

I walk to the podium and sat my papers down and then I begin and once the first word is out, I just can’t stop and then with a blink of an eye it is all over.

And everyone is standing up applauding not booing me off the stage and for the first time that day I release the breath that I truly needed to just let out.

I walk way with a smile on my face and the feeling of success and the nerves are gone as I relive the moment that just happened and the faces were happy and engaged and hanging on every word I had said.

Daily Prompt: Forlorn

A long day and only thing she wanted was for just one thing to go right for her even if it just lasted for five minutes.

She felt hopeless that things were ever going to get better and so she pushed the boundaries more than she should have but, she knew  that nothing was ever going to work out so why chance it.

She fought so hard for this dream that the let down and hopeless outcome really didn’t sit well with her.

The truth was no matter how hard she fought she just couldn’t shake off all the negative feelings and in the end she tried less and her hope for things to ever really work out in the end was so thin that she soon lost sight of what she ever truly wanted out of this life.

Who do I

blame when it all comes burning down that night.

Should I just accept that this is the solution I was waiting for or do I make more moves and move towards the brighter things in life.

Do I pray about the upcoming things in my life

Do I pray for the people in my life and the people around me too

Do I let these people in even when some are closing the door on me

Do I become bitter over the things that I have no control over

Do I decide that I made the mistake and this all begun with me.

Or do I accept my fault with my head up high.

No regrets and no blaming anyone else if I started this all and now it ends with me

Daily Prompt: Conversation

Conversations are something that  reconnects someone with a friend or connects you to a stranger if just for a couple of minutes.

Sometimes conversations are very rare with life being so busy that all you do is wake up and eat and work and repeat until you finally have a day or two off.

You don’t realize it’s been awhile since you’ve had a good conversion since you’ve been in robot mode and everything you’ve said is like a script that is on repeat for six days out the week or five.

You don’t realize what you’ve been missing until you’ve had a great conversion with someone you have missed so much.

And the minutes turn into hours and the happiness and laughter is all around and, you wonder why you took so long to reconnect.

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a great new year eve and now a great start to this new year.

May many blessings come your way this year and you live your life for you and not what others think you should.

Don’t be afraid to break out of your box and try new things life is too short to live it on repeat.

Lets all take a risk and live this new year for a brand new start and don’t think about the bad luck or things that happened in the past.

For you are in the present and this moment is for you to decide what you want to do next.

Daily Prompt: Finally

The new year is here and as I waited for the ball to drop

I could only hope that everything that comes of this year will be amazing.

Time to take more risk and keep going strong in what I believe and not give up when the times get tough.

Finally a new start and put everything from last year in the past and moving on and on to better things.

Only time will tell what this year will bring and I’m excited and nervous to see what will come my way.

Daily Prompt: Torn

I felt so torn between all the things I wanted to do this holiday and all the things I needed to do.

Everyone was coming soon and I knew just how crazy it would get.

I know I needed to take some time for myself because soon my amount of space for myself would be limited.

The the time for joy was near and I couldn’t wait to share it with the people I love.

I just hope the things I didn’t get done or get to do would eat me up alive.

Merry Christmas

everyone I hope you are enjoying your day wherever you are with the ones you love and hope you cherish all the moments you get to spend with them.

And remember that it’s not all about the presents but the time spent with your love ones and the birth of Jesus and how because of him we are in a better place if you believe.

This holiday always seems to bring the best out of some people and the worst out of others.

But, it’s a time where you just don’t want to give up on things for you want to believe it will all work out in the end.

For you want to enjoy the last minutes of this year before the new journey of 2018 comes your way.

Daily Prompt: Compass

I always seem to get lost and the compass you gave me so long ago

always seems to help me find my way back to you.

Today the snow was light and the forest just looked so right to explore

I took pictures to capture every great moment before it got too dark and I would have to head in for the day.

I must have taken too many different turns that day for I was too far away to see the path that I should have not left.

I try to call you so that you wouldn’t worry bout not cellular reception out this far and the only thing left to relay on was your compass and with nothing but myself and backpack on.

I headed down the hill hoping to find my way out of this maze, at first everything was going so well but then about half way there the compass just starts to go crazy and I’m left with no true sense of direction.

Daily Prompt: Elegance

Your elegant dress really made it hard to forget what you wore that night

the color was so bright and yet such a nice dark blue it really brought out your eyes.

You were so confident and for  the first time I saw you for who you were, a girl who just wanted to be seen and finally you were.

But, you decided long time ago that others opinions about you didn’t matter anymore and you were no longer that little girl.

You grew up and you became more than you thought you could be and for all the moments that you were torn down you now know it was worth the struggle.

So elegant you became from the rough and tough little girl.

Daily Prompt: Patina

As he waited to be seen by his doctor

he looked at the surface of the coffee table in the lobby and wonder

what they used to get the surface to look so good.

He knew no one in the office would know for they most likely wasn’t involved with picking out the furniture.

I guess the answer to his question will not ever be answered but it was such a pretty thing to look at while waiting to see your doctor on a Monday morning.

When you rather still be at home not thinking about things that will happen at work when he goes back tomorrow.

If only the weekend had lasted longer because it just seemed to go by way to quickly for his taste.

I want to knit you something for the holiday

Soon Christmas will be here and I just know you will love my gift, I’m going to knit you a hat and a scarf and maybe some gloves too.

I want them to match and be your favorite color too that way you will love them not just because I made them but because they look great too.

Daily Prompt: Sludge

The rain poured down outside all day long and as it stopped before she left for work

she didn’t think much about how wet it was for she just needed to get to work on time and not get wet along the way.

Or how so she thought but, as she took a couple of steps away from her home and was starting to be on her way to work.

She slipped on a big spot of mud and rude everything she thought she be wearing on the way to meeting someone before work.

Turned out in the end of being washed and for her to dress up with only five minutes to leave before she becomes super late and everything she worked hard on will all workout in the end.

Usually mud doesn’t matter her and for the first smile and the first picture of a baby smiling was sometime times an act of cuteness but to Morgan it feels like a win or negotiation.
