Always there for you

The city depended on you in hopes they would always be protected.

But you wanted to be more than just their Savior. You wanted to be their friend and understand them truly.

But as you began to get close to them, a great battle had begun, and you all alone fought back to keep the ones you love safe.

And as the battle continued for four days, you grew tired and weak, and you reached out for help, but no one came.

And so, in the end, the city was captured and you in prison with no visitors insight.

In my

head it’s always been you

But in reality, it’s never going to be you for your selfishness and self-centered jerk.

So every time I see your smile, I know the truth behind it all, and I cringe.

And I walk away knowing I’m better without that kind of darkness in my life.

Even though you blind others with your light, I know behind it is a cruel person that plays the victim too many times.

No more naive; I won’t fall for your tricks, so please just let me go.

And when I finally escape, I know this new day will be a turning point for me and everyone around me.

Maybe it wasn’t

Just one thing that threw everything off for us

Maybe it was two things that made everything so much more complicated than it already was that day or that week, I think.

I don’t know when things got so awkward, but I feel it now as time expands between us and the words we need to say to one another is harder to say now that it feels more like an ending than a new beginning.

To relax

on a Thursday with lavender all around as I read a book I’ve been putting off for far too long.

To focus on me for once and not worry about anything else as I read this book from front to back in one sitting.

For I know if I get up and do anything else I will never finish and well will end up starting something new and probably not coming back for well a longtime.

Right when

Photo by BRUNO EMMANUELLE on Unsplash

I step over the finish line and have reached my goal.

Do you show up as if you’ve been supporting me this whole time?

But you disappeared on me a long time ago as if trying to figure me out wasn’t worth it anymore.

I should’ve seen it coming that once I was up again, you would show up, but you know, I had forgotten.

For I was focused on myself and the people around me that hadn’t given up and had pushed and pulled me forward at times, So my success wasn’t just mine alone but a group’s effort in the end.

Not gonna

Be the reasons I don’t show up and get things done.

I got to get up and move and not allow any reason to stop me.

So that excuses don’t just keep plowing up.

But become Extinct in my word unless it is a legit reason.

I am taking back my disciple and growing into someone who can and not I wish or should have done that.

No hiding, for I am not ashamed or embarrassed by who I am or what I want to do.

This will be the year I finally step out and be myself with no fear worth stopping me insight.

Taking time to

Photo by Katie Azi on Unsplash

Relax as one holiday is over and the year is approaching its end date.

You continue to reflect on all you have accomplished and wish to accomplish next year.

Which gets you thinking about how far you have come and how you hope to keep moving forward.

And how your ready to leave the past in the past.

As your present becomes different you know there is nothing to stress out about it will ll work itself out.

So just like the wine unwind you and be careful about carefree too as this night of wine will be one you cherish.

Saturday, fandango one word challenge

December 18, 2021, and Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). Today’s word is “bite.”

Everyone is running around buying all the sweets they can find.

Just to take a bite of this and that as Christmas is there favorite time of the year.

From cookies to chocolate to cakes and pies, everything so sweet I will bite into, my sweet tooth will be satisfied.

And maybe I will make a new resolution to cut back next year will be planned.

I wish

Week 304 of Three Line Tales

photo by Toa Heftiba via Unsplash

I could find a little space and get my creativity to flow like a beautiful waterfall. You can’t get enough of my words and feelings.

That there will never be enough time to get all things done and stop and breathe in the fresh air.

There will always be something fighting against you, but you must not give in.

Being

one with myself and nature was the only time I seemed to find the peace I need in life.

So much stress around me but when I’m out here nothing seems to be able to touch me.

I’ve came a long way from where I was before, and I know now looking back will do me no good.

So today I live in the present and try not to let all of it that is around me get to me.

For I am enough and all I have is all I ever will need to continue a life that is full of joy and love and peace a life that is well balanced.

Winter is

Photo by Andrew Svk on Unsplash

in the air as I stand out in the field, loving this place I call home.

Even though winters here are brutal, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

I know everything about this place and all that there is to see and feel and experience, but each season always brings me something new to see and feel and remember.

They say

You’re hard to read like a complicated book, but something good and exciting in all the mess.

So they jump on for the ride in hopes you will become something good to read and learn from an experience that only happens once in a lifetime.

Something to put on a bookshelf, but in the end, they always come back too, even when they don’t read paper books anymore.

For you will always be something to treasure and appreciate in the end.

Now and then

Your light guides me to a better place when I’m going through a rough patch in my life.

You’re the joy that stays with me all year long, and I don’t know what I would do without you.

Your eyes always shine so brightly during the holidays; it’s like just the thought of seeing those you love and enjoying your favorite time of year.

It lights you up inside like fireworks that never seem to go out or dim even when things get dark for you or me.

Three

Photo by Sixteen Miles Out on Unsplash

They say three is a crowd but not with us, for it’s always been us three against the world.

Stubborn and strong and determined to get our way when we wanted something.

We don’t give up quickly, and we don’t let others get too close either, only because we have seen moments when trust has become an issue.

So we keep our circle small, move through life at our own pace, and think about things before taking on significant risks.

Because for us, three is just what we need to get by in this life as our puzzle pieces continue to fit together.

The time

Three lines tale week 296

photo by Nathan Dumlao via Unsplash

I will get away from all the noise and let the trees and the sound of nature keep me company.

I will let the wind blow me around like the fallen leaves on a windy day and just let go of all those emotions out into the atmosphere to avoid going back to reality feeling the same before the escape.

Because it’s time for a change, one that only happens when my season has arrived and I accept the change.
