It’s getting

Cold outside and all I want to do is stay inside and wrap myself in a blanket.

I don’t want to wake up and deal with the day.

For the moment I walk out the door I’m slapped with the cold air and the powerful wind.

And all I can think of is going back to sleep and getting as far away from this coldness.

As fast as I can physically can.

For being in this cold air for too long and my mind is all foggy and all I see is darkness as my eye close.

Coldness I don’t appreciate the cold air you blow my way and in the end I can do without you.

I find

it hard to find balance

when each step is like standing on a balancing beam.

one wrong step and I’m falling and starting all over again.

I know that failure happens but, right now I’m no a limited amount of time

and I don’t have time or the energy to keep trying.

I must get through this now or the next time around or my time will be up.

I’m stepping in the right directions in the hope of discovering the truth to finally put it all to rest.

I don’t need to look at my watch to know time is going by quicker than I can come up with the words that are needed to be said right now.

How did

it all come to this.

This quite that surrounds me with so much peace.

Lately things have been passing me by as I stay in one spot barely enjoying this life that was given to me.

The coldness that creeps in every morning and stays longer than it should.

It makes everything that seem important as you just want to climb back under your sheets and go back to sleep.

It makes you want to hold a hot cup of apple cider or hot chocolate or even coffee in your hands all day long just keep the warmth close to you.

There is no going back the quiet is around and the coldness is staying too and things will and should get interesting from here on out.

Week 140 of Three Line Tales

tltweek140

photo by Ernest Brillo via Unsplash

You’ll find full guidelines on the TLT page – here’s the tl;dr:

  • Write three lines inspired by the photo prompt (& give them a title if possible).
  • Link back to this post (& check the link shows up under the weekly post).
  • Tag your post with 3LineTales (so everyone can find you in the Reader).

is that way as I move quickly from my seat to get to a place far away from here so that I can finally think without interruptions.

To feel like I’m not about to fall apart from being overworked and feeling like no matter what I do there is not enough time in the day for things to work out.

The decision made around me are just not quite good or even adding up at the end, how much more can I go through before I’ve had enough too?

Every

time I let doubt get in the way

I let the things that are so pure to me slip away.

So quickly I give up just so that failure won’t be able to register with me.

I know that the outcome won’t always be great in the end but I must accept that nothing in this life can be taken for granted for it always comes back to stop you in your track.

The possibility that everything will be as great as you think is a long shoot but, what’s the point in life if we don’t take that risk once in a while.

So tired of standing in the same spot feeling like you won’t accomplish the things in front of you now and to be told you’re not the right fit.

So many trials you had to go through just to get to this place in the end, makes all the doubts made up and the truth so much more than you could hope for.

DO

I look like the girl you left behind so many years ago

the girl who looked you in the eye and begged you not leave me behind.

There was nothing good going to happen to me here but, without you my chances just got so much smaller.

Than like it was yesterday you walked into my life-like not a day had passed since you had left me here.

No letters or phone calls telling me how you were doing just nothing like I didn’t matter and all the promises you made you left behind as you drove away in you big shiny blue truck.

You want to talk now but, I found it hard to say anything nice and polite to you right now as the anger of the past come bubbling back up to the surface again.

Oh how I tried to forget you at first and how it didn’t work but after getting pretty busy with the life I built it was so much easier to forget you and how it all ended for us.

I never

wanted to you to know that I’m looking for a way out of this place.

I wanted you to believe so badly that I would stay and by staying I could be happy.

But, then I woke up feeling like this was not the place I was supposed to be.

There isn’t a day when I’m truly happy here and so leaving isn’t hard for me

for leaving the baggage behind is the best thing that I can do right now.

I know that you will miss me but, I’m not walking away from you

I will make sure to make you feel like the distance isn’t going to make you feel less loved than when I am standing right in front of you.

You are the best and you have picked me up so many times before and I know that I can always count on you and at then end of the day you will always have me.

Sitting

Here not knowing how to feel or think.

As I blindly go through life not really seeing the beauty in it all anymore.

So dark I can’t tell morning from night anymore.

Hoping this experience changes and doesn’t last for much later.

Stumbling around knocking into everything well trying to get away from it all.

Nothing left to say as it all fades to black and things become  more unclear.

If I

were a fire

would I strongly burn all night long?

Or would I be a fire that keeps going out and makes you work to keep me going?

Would I be a calm fire that burns brightly in your fireplace?

Or would I be a fire that destroys everything I touch with no care for anything?

For I just love to burn and leave ashes in my wake.

I’ve

realized I am blessed with being here.

The things that seem to be stressful and make me feel like I’ve got bad luck

and this cloud of rain is always around just waiting to pour down on me.

At any moment and my luck is just about to run out and even though I’m smiling

doesn’t mean that I am not hurting right now.

My time to cry feels limited because I’m too busy to slow down and just reflect on what is going on around me little alone time to feel what’s going on inside of me right now.

I just want

to scream as the same question keeps falling out of your mouth as they seem to come out of everyone’s else.

I want to say mind your business for I’m just too tired to have more than I have right now in my life.

If you want to see it happen so badly then you do something about it and leave me out of it, please.

I am okay with how my life is right now for it could be worse or maybe it could be better but who am I to want more than what has and will be given to me

In due time.

I shine

rye-jessen-769110-unsplashPhoto by Rye Jessen on Unsplash

my light into the sky and what do I see on this dark night.

So many stars in the sky but it’s not the stars that catch my eye.

It’s the big creature that is looking down at me like it’s been waiting for me to shine my light on it.

It’s something I’ve not ever seen before and as I stand here looking up at it I feel scared and amazed at the same time.

I can’t stop looking and I can’t move from this spot and I don’t know how long I’ve been out here.

But, I know someone will come looking for me and right now I just don’t want to be found or for them to see you and warn the others.

For I feel you are not here to hurt me but see the world that I live on and to maybe help me.

It’s always

elizeu-dias-768967-unsplashPhoto by Elizeu Dias on Unsplash

just been the three of us and I’ve cherish these moments we shared together.

I know we went through those awkward moments together and came out with a friendship that is still so unbreakable.

You two were always there protecting me from the wrong guy, the wrong decision the falls I kept finding myself about to happen but always had strong arms to lift or catch me before I hurt myself .

To me you two were my hero’s, my best friends and my brothers I didn’t ask for but, appreciate so much.

I’m grateful for you two and I know as we watch sunrise this morning that there will be many more days when we just stop and enjoy these little moments together.

I adore both of you and love you with all my heart and one day we will be separated but, yet still so connected.

And one day it will be our children getting to enjoy this bond we have and hopefully they will stay close and true to each other like we did all these years.

Time

is moving by so fast that I just can’t believe tomorrow is August.

Soon these hot days will turn warm and then cold, I know that time will go by fast and right before you know it.

Things have passed and you missed them and you wish you could go back and get that time.

Like a precious thing time moves with or without you, your wants and needs come and go and your desire to make up for lost time.

Sometimes doesn’t help, and you begin to wonder will the time come for me to break free from this ice castle that looked so cool and welcoming on the outside.

Will I feel like I’ve finally just stopped making excuses and just took the life I had a took back some of the control.

I know that I’m not perfect and there is always room for improvement and time is on my side if I choose to not procrastinate this time.

I know that right now the only person looking at me is me and my actions are being watched by my Lord but, it is I who feel the shame or happiness when I know I have done something right or wrong.

In the time that is given to me, yet I won’t know what I have missed out on in the end only he will know.

But, I feel if I’ve lived doing the things I love and feel I’ve accomplishes some of these  things that make me feel like my time here was not wasted then I did the things meant for me to do.

Today

my emotions are on straight and as I sit here looking straight at you with no expression at all.

I am calm and just ready to be capture in this photo as simply breath-taking or maybe someone will seem me as someone who is sad.

But, what am I said about or am I just another model taking a photo where I stare off into some camera but make it look like I’m looking at someone.

Hoping they will see me for who I am, a girl who has so much going for her but that does not mean that my life is always so great.

But, we have to get through the pain to get to the moments that are great and amazing that shape us into who we’ve always meant to be.
