Daily Prompt: Elevate

My heart rate was elevated as I pushed myself to run faster before my workout was over.

It felt good to get up and get in a workout before the stress of work got in the way.

I felt at peace as the day started but I knew soon my patience will be tested.

I try to stay in a right set of mind or this will all not workout in the end.

I take a deep breath and let the music calm me before I face the world that might just drive me insane.

Moving on

seems like the only thing I can do as my life seems  to be dying here.

Like grass with no hope of rain to come, I’m drying up and turning to a shade of lifelessness.

And before I go I wanted to know wherever I go I will finally have found the peace that I needed so bad.

Somethings are best left alone and forgotten when it’s nothing but toxic washing through something that used be so healthy.

The fight is strong as I navigate down these roads away from the things that have burned me so badly.

I don’t think I’ll ever look back and wonder about the things that could have been because my time is up and I’ve moved on to something else.

I know that this path I am on is leading me away from the things that used to trap be and have me wanting things I don’t really need.

I am not there anymore and maybe one day you will understand the choses I had to make just to make it out of this place alive and healthy.

Sometimes the light that guided me was doom because of my own doubts but, after last night I’m so ready to move on.

The car is packed to its limit and I’m two seconds away from jumping in and once I hit that said that says come back and visit again.

I will be able to truly breathe and no I won’t be coming back to visit for this ride is not short-term but long-term and even if I come back it won’t be to stay.

For the place I call home was never here to begin with.

Daily Prompt: Rhyme

A  lot of people like to rhyme and find the right word that rhymes good with

what they are trying to get across.

I don’t rhyme or try to rhyme just because as I write it doesn’t end up being that way.

But, it can be such an interesting thing to hear someone rhyming a poem out or a rap or a song.

For they are carefully picking out the right words to say to one another and they are trying craft out their thoughts in maybe complete sentences or just a couple of words.

We all know what we are good at and rhyming is something a lot of people like to play with and, I have seen some really good work and it makes me become fascinated by the process that person went through.

Rhyme something they say

and maybe one day I will but, not today I say .

Daily Prompt: ooze

The poison oozed from her eyes and mouth as her body tried to push

all the poison out of her system.

They thought it would only take some hours for she was not afraid and was using

all the strength she had left to get the evil out of her and to be pure and safe from the poison that was flowing through her veins that night.

It took days and nights and weeks for her to get her true strength back.

She now knew more about the poison that had been inside her and she knew who had done it.

She laid low for a while to keep her enemies off her trail and let them think she didn’t make it or that she was still not to full up to her true power yet.

Looking on the bright side

So many things just seem to be going in the wrong direction

and I could just accept that things are not going my way.

Or I could look on the bright side and hope that things will start looking up

for what’s the point in staying in the past for there are  things I have no control over.

Sometimes the good days are good and the bad days turn into a lesson I needed to learn

in order to know how the fix the things in my life I didn’t know how to fix in the first place.

The bright side of things for me is I’m still here and even though sometimes my days are long, I find my way back to the light every day and  that I am grateful for.

Daily Prompt: Willy-Nilly

She didn’t like to do things without some type of directions

but she sat behind the wheel of her car.

She realized she left the directions at home and her phone was no help at this point.

So she just kept driving until she saw some familiar places and soon she arrived at a big house with blue windows and a huge glorious garden that was on the left side of the house.

Cars lined up on the one side of the lane, as she drove up the hill and found a spot close but not to close to the car next you her.

She was greeted by the security in front of the house and asked for her name and I.D. and then was let in to the most beautiful entry way she ever seen.

The 20 feet ceiling with crystal chandelier hanging was her main focus as she walked through the door.

She loved the cherry wood and paintings on the wall but she begun to feel nervous as she got closer to the dinning and kitchen where she knew everyone was hanging around .

She didn’t want to seem like a random person just coming  into their circle of friends even though she knew a couple of them since childhood.

She felt things this time seem a lot worse than before.

Daily Prompt: Carousel

As a child the merry-go-round was the ride every kid wanted to go on

with all the wooden horse that were so colorful.

You just wanted to ride them and wave to your parents as they stood off to the side of the ride.

Taking pictures of you having so much fun that when the ride came to a stop, you didn’t want to get off.

But, you did and you begged to go on it again and again.

Until you became to tired and it was time to go home and dream about what an awesome day you had.

I didn’t

see the love in your eyes anymore and just like that.

Before you could say the words, I knew this was over and I had lost you for good.

There was no going back and so I left you in the dust with all the old memories of my life.

I moved on to a point where when  I saw you walk past me the other day I didn’t call out to you.

I let you disappear in the hopes our path would not cross again.

Enigma

mystery

Free Flow Friday

I knew you were following me but the mysterious enigma of my day

was every time I turned around you were not there.

But every time I looked at the wall beside me there your shadow was and

as I picked up my pace that today.

Nothing I did got me away from you and the chase continued even as I begun to panic

you were there running along side of me even when there was nothing to cased a shadow.

You were there and as I finally got home and was inside, I saw no more of you that night

until I went to bed and turned off the light and there on my ceiling you were the shadow that hunts me.

Day and night and no matter where I go you are there along side my shadow as if you have found a friend in me.

The beach

100-word-wednesday-week-29

Summers coming to an end and the beach has been calling my name

I’ve been so busy.

That I just keep ignoring its call like an unwanted caller.

But, this week just was too much and at the last-minute I threw everything I needed

for a fun day at the beach into my car.

And was on my way to the beach and I noticed I wasn’t the only one who needed a moment or longer.

To forget about the ugly and relax in such a beautiful place.

Daily Prompt: Toothbrush

Toothbrush something I use everyday

to keep my teeth health and protected.

But a toothbrush isn’t the only thing you need

to say on the path of good teeth.

You need to floss twice a day and use Listerine and

go to the dentist and do all the things they tell you do to.

But, not everyone really listens or keeps these things up all the time.

One may use a toothbrush  everyday and do most of the things they need to do

but, they don’t stress over the things one may need to do to go the extra mile for their

teeth.

For they know if they mess up there is always a situation to fixing one’s teeth and they have so much on their plate to worry about all that can go wrong in their mouth.

When there is bigger things they need to get done soon.

Daily Prompt: Traditional

So many things in life people want to keep it the traditional way

and maybe somethings are precious enough to keep it traditionally.

But, sometime things are meant to change and go in a new way and that’s okay too.

Each generation change the things that came before them for they feel this is a better path for them.

But, we all in a way make the same mistakes because, we didn’t want to listen to those that came before us.

Or we have no one to tell us that the way we are going isn’t the right path to be on but, sometimes we want what others have.

And the facts don’t matter at the time because what we see is something that looks great but as time goes by the image we saw starts to crack and we see what it looks like to live that life.

And it is not as pretty as we thought it would be and do we start to think that the traditional way is a better way or is it just a wiser way and it makes us stop and think about the things we are allowing in our lives.

Competition

Midweek challenge from Bikurgurl. 100 Word Wednesday

100WW_W27Nicolas Picard

I’d never been to one of these events before

but Ryan was competing  for the second time and needed some support

so I came along for the ride.

And was blown away with all the talent I saw that I begun to get nerve for Ryan but didn’t want to say anything.

For he needed to focus for his turn was coming up and he just knew this year was his year and with his good luck charm he had an even better chance.

I hoped I was enough to help him win.

Daily Prompt: Grit

It took courage to tell you everything that was going on

even though she knew you wouldn’t say anything because you didn’t

know how to help.

But, she needed someone to listen even though she knew it didn’t matter in the end

the results were lying right in front of her and she just couldn’t bear to tell you.

But, she told you something else and walked away knowing you didn’t have to bear the

burden she would carry on her shoulders for the rest of her life.

Daily Prompt: Sail

I could sail away from my problems and fears.

And be out there in the big blue sea and just relax and not worry about what I left behind.

But, one day I’d want to go back and when I do the fears and problems will still be there.

So I must face them first and then sail away to just relax and come back to a more peaceful place.
