How much

more can one take before one’s mind just gives up and demands some rest

So much going on that you don’t know what to think next or what to do next.

Your running out of time and you just want to get it all done in time before the holidays come to an end and you missed having any fun.

You have so much shopping and decorating to do you just don’t know what you will end up doing first.

You skip thanksgiving decoration and go straight to Christmas  your favorite time of year where for a moment you get lost in holiday movies and tradition and you smile more than you usually do.

Your happy and for once all you stress just melts away and life just seems so much easier for you and you begin to learn how it feels to be relaxed and at ease in the life you live even if you know it won’t last.

You suck up as much as you can for soon you will be going back to life that is crazy and out of your control but you hope for the best to come your way and send you on a better path.

I come over to your house for a meal and I still you running around and everywhere I look I see dirty pans.

And all the food you have cooked look so good but, I know you will be tired later and decide to help you clean up well the rest of the guest sit around and chat.

As you finish up you notice there isn’t one single pot left dirty and you smile at me and I see how grateful you are and I hug you and thank you for the meal we’re about to eat.

Daily Prompt: Honk

As a child every time you were on a field trip as the bus drove up next to a truck you would hope that it would honk and if it did you and all the other kids would cheer.

Just those little simple acts would bring joy to our lives but as we grow up we forget about the little things sometimes.

And the honking you here now are when someone is not paying attention to the road when they are driving and you just really don’t want to get hit today.

Or you honk because they are frustrating you and you feel they should be moving a little faster for you because you have somewhere to go and your running a little late.

Come eat with me!

It’s been so long since we’ve sat down and had a meal together, I made your favorite and I hope you appreciate this time we have together.

I know this moment may not last for long but, I hope it will help bring us closer for it seem like its been so long since we’ve talked more than five to ten minutes.

The look  on your face was priceless and the hug and smile was worth all the energy and time it took to make a good meal for you just for this day if that’s all the time we have for now.

Daily Prompt: Dubious

Everything now just feels so uncertain and the direction I need to go in just can’t be found right now.

I’m wondering through life right now with no way of knowing if I’m doing it alright when the feelings inside of me are all jumbled up inside.

I try each day to try to sort through the things that are unclear to me but it seems like each step gets me no where.

I’m almost at the point of just giving up and just living with the knots and loops that have formed in my life.

And just accept this uncertain in my life and just work around it and hope that it may just work out on its own in time.

Daily Prompt: Riff

The riff at the beginning of his song set the tone for the whole night as his show went from good to great.

The crowd listened on and cheering and screaming when their favorite songs came on and the music played on and on.

I felt like I was becoming apart of the music as the night went on and on.

It was a moment to remember and something that I look back on today because it became apart of me loving music even more.

Daily Prompt: Black

It was dark so much sooner now that daylight saving had ended and I just needed to keep on moving if I wanted to get home soon and out of the dark black night.

All around me the shadows played and everything seemed to echo as I quicken my steps to get home as fast as my little short legs could take me.

I knew I shouldn’t have stayed out so late but I was having so much fun that I just hadn’t stop to think about how dark it would be out tonight.

As I rounded the corner to my house, I didn’t see the lights coming toward me until it was too late.

Or at least I thought it was too late but, out of nowhere he grabbed me back just as a crazy driver turned the corner and kept on speeding down the ride with no care in the world.

He asked if I was okay and I said yes and he walked me cross the street and told me to be more careful next time for people around here don’t care if it’s a residential   neighborhood.

Speeding is in their blood and it at least once or more someone gets hit and it’s always because someone is being careless and speeding to get home or to work.

He walked away and soon he had disappeared into the night as I ran the rest of the way home and didn’t stop until I made up to my door and was safe inside.

I’ll never forget that day for if I do It feels like I’m being ungrateful for if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be here now living the dream life I have always wanted.

Do you see

me now as the leaves float around and you capture me through the hole in the leaf as we walk along the path in the forest.

We love fall as all the leaves fall down all around us, we are  in our favorite spot always hoping to capture a photo that will completely capture the amazing forest during  the morning time.

It’s cold out this morning what we wouldn’t miss out on a walk together before we start our day.

These walk help us grow together as we take the time to just talk and be one with no worry about what time we have to get back for its our time and it’s the weekend so the time and day is ours to do with.

You told me to stare to east and wait until you came back for me and as I waited I just knew you were trying to find a way to make one of the photos just a little more unique than the one we took this last week.

You amaze me every time you capture something new and show me the world from a new view and I start to wonder how many views there is on this world.

I mean you can take a photo in so many ways and people see the world in so many ways and live it differently too.

But, the way you view the world always just seemed so true to you and you didn’t always agree with others views but you respected them enough to let them do what they felt was right instead of insisting they live the way you do.

Take me away!

Take me away on a trip that will be long and lets take as many photo’s as possible so that every moment will be captured even if it’s just for our eyes only.

I’ll pack a couple of sweaters and boots for the weather and changing and winter is coming and even though I want to get away from the snow that is coming.

I’d go through any type of storm as long as you are by my side the whole time I know we will survive it all.

It’s cold out here today but, I just needed a moment to myself and standing out in front of the ocean just always calms me.

My life lately seems like the rough tides that are coming in and no matter how much I try to deal with everything and try to be the bigger person some how it always comes back to knock me down.

I can’t let you drag me down and around like those rough waves would do if I try to go out there right now. I won’t be ignored and knocked down when I  decide to stand up for myself and live a calmer path.

Poetry

Daily Prompt: Gingerly

She had to be gingerly as she walked up the stairs so late after a long night at work.

she was just glad to getting to bed for she just didn’t think her body could go any farther on the amount of energy she had been using  up the last couple of days.

She had to be quiet as she came through the door for her roommate was probably already asleep.

She couldn’t remember a night that she wasn’t so exhausted that she didn’t remember when she fell asleep.

She just got ready for bed and soon was passed out and in the morning she would be well rested but the long days of work would soon rob her of her energy.

Days off became shorter and work became longer and she just wanted to breath without being at the same place over and over again.

Even though she liked her job she needed time away from all the stress.

Daily Prompt: Simmer

The water seems to slowly simmer as she waits for it to boil

so she can put in the rest of the food that will complete her meal.

But her patience is really low with a long day at work, she tries to will the water to speed up for she was getting more sleepy by the minute.

She need to eat and then head to bed and he was demanding and all she wanted was a good night of sleep and no stress because she had a lot on the table and she just didn’t know if she could get it done.

The water was not bubbling up enough for her to add the noodles, she wished it didn’t take this long to boil water.

And then she notices she never turned it up and it was all her fault and now she was going to be able to just relax and not stress.

Poetry

I need someone

on days when doing it alone just doesn’t work

When four hands are better than two

When laughter is better shared than echoing off walls and you are all alone.

When all you want is hug and hugging someone else is just what you needed

When dressing up is just more fun when you have someone else to dress up with

When you want to pick on someone there must be someone else that is your target

When you just miss that person and just need to see their face.

When it takes the two of you to cause the trouble you are just dying to cause

When the joke is just funny when you have someone else to hear it too.

I need someone else to continue to pull others into this so there is fewer people alone and more people together laughing so hard that they are crying.

For there to be more love and hugs then arguments and crime.

More peace than violence and a day beginnings good and ends the same way.

I need someone who is brave and willing to play along and take the risk that needs to be taken now with me to be there along the way.

Daily Prompt: Mystery

I’m surprised you have not figured it out by now that the missing pieces to your puzzle.

It’s still a mystery to you that the pieces are still gone and you just don’t seem to keep your eyes open when you come upon them.

You just keep walking as if you know where you are going right now in your life, you feel lost and confused but you are too stubborn to ask for help during this time.

So you walk around in circles and you always end up in a dead-end with no way out of what you thought was the answer to all your prayer’s.

Maybe one day you will solve it or I’ll get tired and waiting and make you solve it so than life would be at least one step easier in the many steps you have left to accomplish and crush doing this journey you are called Life.

Your the Ghost

that haunts me from my past

and no matter how far I go.

Every Halloween you come out and  shake up my life again

like a nightmare that replays over and over every night.

I’m ready for you to go away as I count down the minutes and hours until this day is over and I am free again.
