The year of 2023

You showed up initially with so much hope to get things done. And I’m not going to lie; you were making some great moves and meeting deadlines, and the results were good, even with last-minute fixes.

You presented a great book.

But then you burned out, trying to do something new and uncomfortable and overwhelming that you were stuck and down for far too long.

And so you thought there was no hope or light at the end of the tunnel. And right when you were about to give up a familiar face showed you grace and offered you help and support, and like a new, energized Bunny, you were off to get things done, and wow, did you get them done.

And then you showed your wins, and another hand came out and helped you up to the next stage of your journey. You shot off like a rocket, and even in the rough turbines, you did your task and made your deadlines again.

Ultimately, the year was not all your vision, but success was there as you crossed the finish line in 2023.

The darkness

I’ve been wandering through; it has finally come to an end.

As I see the light ahead, how delightful it feels to see something beautiful and real.

To no longer wonder what will happen next

Just happy the peace is here, and the frustration may soon end.

The choice that has been weighing on me is no longer my problem.

That out of sight and my mind, and I will learn to smile again, even if things will be a little tougher.

I would rather fight a new battle than deal with the darkness you always bring around me.

You’re the curse I never have to deal with again, as I’ve broken your spell and now I’m free.

To let go

And fly into the life I’m meant to be in.

To stop letting fear lead the way

To take my time even when it feels too slow

To trust that it will all work out, but also to do the work.

To lifting higher than I ever thought I could

Now, when I come down, I know I will be truly okay.

I am stronger now than I was before.
