It was

A rainy day and I had brought my umbrella just Incase it started to really pour down.

But as I got closer to the shops I realized as I looked up they had me covered and the lights made everything so beautiful.

As I started to really enjoy this rainy day that turned out didn’t ruin my plans just made them brighter in a new way.

Now I know where to go on a rainy day a place that makes me feel as if a rainbow has come out after a storm we so needed but didn’t want at the moment.

To rainy days may them guide us out of the storms we may be living in right now.

Seconds before

I knew it was all going down hill because it’s like no matter how hard you worked to do what needed to be done.

There was always a mess on the other side and there is always someone else who is not satisfied.

So much going on that I just can’t take it anymore and for someone to just assume I would go along with whatever it is going on.

Just pisses me off the truth is I don’t care anymore.

I’ve fought hard and now I’m burnt out and I’m done complaining and I’m done trying to save their ass.

When they just throw mine under the bus because they can’t seem to do what needs to be done.

My eyes are open and so are my ears but there is not much more I can do other than walk way and forget all that I know.

Looking for

some guidance as I wander through this stressful life.

Feeling like no matter where you turn someone is always has it worst

but somehow they are pushing forward and making way for the world that will not stop for their sorrow.

Some days are easier than the rest and when things get bad that is when the wake up call happens to some of us.

We take so much for granted and yet even when there is not much left we still manage to push the stress on others.

The ability to do it all just isn’t possible anymore and even when you try to make things even it always comes out lopsided.

I don’t want to say tomorrow will be the same but the hope for change is very low these days and even through I believe I can do more I just can’t fight it like I used too and maybe it’s best to not try anymore.

Wake up

they say

because it’s Monday morning.

And there is so much  to do but the  truth is

nothing you do will be enough.

Even when your working hard it still won’t be enough

and at some point you just won’t care if it gets done but you will push on for those words will fuel the anger and you will get it done just to shut them up for you didn’t want to wake up.

To a Monday that would bring back all the stress you had pushed away the last couple of days.

With nothing

to rush to I sit here and read and enjoy this time of relaxing.

As I sip my drink I don’t want to think about what tomorrow will bring.

all I want to do is get lose in the words that flow from each sentence and page and I finish the book in a blink of eye.

And all I want to do is to find the next book to read and get lost in for the thrill of another good story is what I really want as the day comes to a end and I know tomorrow won’t be as calm and relaxing as today.

Your

words are meant to hurt me

and probably put me in my place.

But, I realise that your words have no meaning towards me anymore

you say them because you can but there are not even worth spitting out.

You are angry and you try to take it out on me but, I am no longer that little girl

that would be affected by it.

I am a grown now and the tears and hurt feelings are not found in this moment and I just laugh now as you yell out words that are useless and pointless and don’t even describe who I am now or ever was.

I will go to sleep tonight and forget about what you said and tomorrow I will not care or worry for life will go on and I know you won’t think about what you said and you surely won’t care to say sorry.

So yet again why should I care or be bothered with this thing you will end up doing again and again and maybe one day I won’t be around to hear it again and then maybe you will regret the words you said to me.

Find

me  if you can.

I’m not doing the same things anymore

so I won’t be in the same places as before.

I don’t want to be boring because I choose to pay it safe

So I’m going somewhere to become who I felt I always was.

Maybe you will see this before I go or maybe you won’t and our goodbyes

will just be this.

I know you want the best for me but you don’t feel what I feel inside and you don’t know all that I hide.

Just to seem okay and normal in front of you and everyone else for I didn’t want to worry you and now I just want to feel free more than just a day or two.

I  want to spread my arms and not end up touching the same two walls again for I want to see and feel new things out there.

I want to finally say I am home and truly mean it for I will find the place that fits me for me and the battle to fit in isn’t a everyday thing.

Find me if you want but know this I won’t be coming back unless I know what  I found was worth it all along.

That song

Weekend Writing Prompt #118-Song

That song which plays on repeat on my phone will be my favorite until I feel like I can’t relate in this moment with it.

Or that song will soon fade away as I connect to another song maybe that next day or week, but it would come and be bitter sweet.

And I won’t think about the words that connected to me the first time I heard that song and how the words spoke to me.

For I had been feeling that same way all this time and the hope of things changing for me came to me in that song.

THAT SONG!

Poetry

Is it

Monday already and yet I don’t feel prepared for the storm ahead.

I know I can handle it with your help but sometimes I don’t want to.

I know this battle will never change for everyone is kind of selfish and too blind to see.

They’re not doing their best work to make things work out in the end.

But to them what they are giving is 100% but to me, it feels I’m giving 200% just to keep up my work and theirs too.

I know it’s called teamwork but it feels like I’m the only one on the team.

Where is my help on a busy Monday like today?

I know

not of what is to come

but I know I will get through it.

I won’t give up when things get rough

but fight on until I finish what I started.

It’s time to let go of my fears and embrace the challenge in front of me.

For I will conquer it and move on to the next adventure that will take me outside my comfort zone and make me learn something new.

For I’m tired of sitting around and waiting for something to happen.

It’s time for action and to trust I can get it done with no timeline just going at my own pace.

I say

this to you because I love you

and at the end of the day I just want the best.

I know that I’m not the one you are looking for

but, here I am standing near you and just wanting to protect you

from the things we all have become before we try something new this time

I want to lay it all out on the table as you come closer to me to get to know everything we thought was possible at this moment with this thing called love.

I know this moment couldn’t have come at a better time for me and you and for that I know that tomorrow will hand something so much more as you realize that maybe what you had in mind of what I would look like and be like wasn’t the truth.

And it’s time to let go of those past thoughts and dreams and face the facts that every time you wander off you always end up back at my door with the need to be close to me and no one else.

You

say things will get easier if I just drop the act and work like a robot.

With no emotions and no complains.

Just get it all done and not worry about anything for that isn’t what I’m getting paid for.

The level of focus is on a high as I ‘ve realized the only way to win this race is to outsmart all of them who came before me and didn’t let their faults bring them down to become broken.

You said a lot that day and now that I think back on the matter I wonder how many people you lied to and how many of them are I protecting at this point.

I

am completely blank right now.

No words coming to my mind.

No emotions filling me up inside

Just complete silence all around.

With no hope of things changing

as my mind shuts down for the night

and I begin to fall asleep.

I just wonder will it be like this tomorrow

when I am awake and I have no worry insight.

Because I know that things will work out in the end even when the beginning being a little bumpy and rough round the edges.

This blank sheet will be full again but, for now rest is needed before it all begins again another day.

Time

goes by and like a book I’ve read before

you pop back up on my mind making me want to check that book out again.

But the minute I open the first page it all comes back to me and makes me realize I don’t need to read it all over again because the story is still fresh on my mind.

Like that story I don’t know why I keep opening up the past of where you and I used to be.

I know it must be nice to want to talk to me but like that story I have changed and my access to me is not available anymore as the chapter has been closed for a long time now.

To be overthinking about this moment isn’t necessary for I know where my mind and heart is and they are no where near ready to let you back in for anything.

For our chapter is closed and it time for me to write a new one with nothing but new things in it.

Standing tall

but feeling like I’m falling short in everything around me.

There are moments when it feels I’ve missed out and that I’ve lost sight of everything.

As my once sharp mind has fallen to the side and everything is so much more difficult to navigate to a point of just blindly guiding myself to a spot I’ve not been and that this will be the place.

A place that would stay intact after you are gone, in hopes the people after you will take care of it as much as you do.

You know that you are stressed and overworked and yet you have to keep pushing yourself to do more just to be above the average person.

You don’t want to keep struggling but you know that if you don’t do it no one will and the need to get it done is urgent and in full force.

There is no turning back now as the time to keep moving and being able to do the impossible is now.

I will do my best to stand up tall and make everything that has been thrown at me not a big deal for someone has to get it done and clearly it isn’t going to be the other people around me.

Standing as tall as I can be and sometimes the battle is lonely but in the end when the Victory is mine I guess the finish line will only be crossed by me.
