I know

Photo by Oleg Ivanov on Unsplash

I should smile more and come off a little nicer sometimes.

But why do I need to step out of being myself just to well please you?

I don’t have much going on lately and really just want to relax and enjoy

this nice summer night without the demands of others.

For I have become okay with it just being me.

Do you

Photo by Jr Korpa on Unsplash

See me

Or hear me

Through all the mess

And the noise around us today.

Or is it the mess that scares you away

Or the darkness that is all around me?

Or do you walk closer because of the light inside of me?

That is slowly growing as you sense there is more to me than meets the eye.

Please take a chance on me!

I promise you won’t regret it as the light swallows us up.

Letting us see the things we never thought were impossible for us.

It’s been

So long since I’ve seen you

And I feel so nervous as I’m different now.

I cut the long hair you loved and got colorful tattoos.

Showing a side of me

I’ve been wanting to show-off but was afraid too.

And all you did was smile and accept me.

Making me feel like I wasted time worrying about nothing.

Now time to make this last for as long as I can.

Just

Photo by Anton Titov on Unsplash

Let me go

And let me move to my own steps.

Maybe our paths will cross again but let’s not put too much faith into the unknown.

I know nothing in life is perfect.

But we always want to get as close to doing something great all the time.

We want to move to our own drumbeat.

We want to get lost in the music we love to dance too.

So we are calm and become one with ourselves.

Letting the music carry us to new levels of hope.

Only to let it all go again.

Not much

Photo by Marko Blažević on Unsplash

To worry about today as I watch him jump in the puddles.

As if getting his jeans wet wasn’t a concern for him.

The freedom of getting so high with his jump and coming down was a thrill.

As the fun things in his life were a lot smaller than the list of things I had to get done were.

So getting dirty to have a moment of joy was worth it.

For he can always go home and throw them in the washing machine and call it a day.

a long day and even the thought of getting on my bike and going down this path.

I feels like too much even though I know I would get home quicker if I just hopped on.

But the view of the sun setting makes me want to take my time for I know once I’m inside I won’t appreciate it as much.

Tonight

Photo by Atıf Zafrak on Unsplash

is all about celebrating this moment together

and I let go all the outside worries and concerns.

As sit out here on such a lovely night, drinking some wine and some food as well.

We know its been a long time coming and we are both excited for this milestone and fruitful future together.

But right now we just want to be in the present and go from there.

Tonight I wear red and I feel so free as my dress flows around me.

Romance is what this night will be all about and for that I am grateful I’m getting to spend time with you.

It’s been

an long time since I’ve sat at a desk and wrote something by hand.

And the words just don’t flow as they used too.

But it feels good to have a pen in my hands again and to think of the possibility of me writing something good today.

It’s been a long day, but it’s all worth it in the end when I feel the peace and love flow through me.

I know that one day it will happen for me to write something great on paper again.

Lately it

Russia artist

Feels as if I’m standing still.

But the dragon in me is slowly moving behind me.

Trying to find what is missing from my life.

The search is long and exhausting but I won’t stop looking and either will he.

The sun sets and rises again and again and my hope of that day coming.

Just seems too far away and my patience and heart is wearing thin,.

I don’t know how much more chill it can allow into my life.

Maybe it’s time for me to say some words and hopefully they will be heard.

There you

Stand in the storm

So calm with no fear

That the rain could bring you down at any moment.

So strong and so beautiful you stand through it all and even when the pain is too great.

You still fight through it and sometimes you keep it all to yourself.

And I wonder how much longer you can stand on your own this time my friend.

I am

As strong and as proud

As my spirit animal the lion.

I am a leader and a protector

I am a learner and a lover.

I won’t quit or give up when someone tries to challenge me and I know the struggle will be rough.

But I will rise to the challenge and hopefully come out on top.

But if I don’t win I know I learned a lesson and will do better next time.

For being positive is the only way I want to live now.

three line tales, week 226: danger, do not enter
photo by Raúl Nájera via Unsplash

Enter my life for well it can be dangerous as the path you will journey on will not be simple or even complete

Lots of holes and bumps will greet you every day you go and even when it all seems smooth and wonderful

something will pop out at you and all the balance and understanding of this life will be gone and never seen again.

Time

three line tales, week 224: time flies graffiti

something we think we have a lot of until we don’t

But, even though we know there is a end to our exist we sometimes don’t appreciate the time we have now or later because we feel we have all the time in the world to get things done.

To find ourselves and do the things that matter the most and only than do we wake up with the reality that we can’t do everything for time when we were strong enough and had the energy is gone.

On this

Taken by: quentin

Path called life and maybe this path has been walked on or drove on before.

And I’m not the first one to cross this path but I know this journey is just for me right now.

As I look down and around at the unfamiliar place I am in right now.

I know the situation isn’t the same as the person who walked before me but I’m ready to go to the impossible.

If it keeps me from breaking away and taking things too far then I’ll gladly welcome this change.

You tell

Artist:unknown

Me to close my mouth

For you don’t want to hear what I have to say

You only want to see me and look at the eyes you love so much.

For you know the words that will come out my mouth will be the truth.

And in the end you will be hurt not me but if you want to prolong the matter.

Then I will let you have it your way one more time before I walk out that door and leave my words and you behind.

This time around.
