Three

Photo by Sixteen Miles Out on Unsplash

They say three is a crowd but not with us, for it’s always been us three against the world.

Stubborn and strong and determined to get our way when we wanted something.

We don’t give up quickly, and we don’t let others get too close either, only because we have seen moments when trust has become an issue.

So we keep our circle small, move through life at our own pace, and think about things before taking on significant risks.

Because for us, three is just what we need to get by in this life as our puzzle pieces continue to fit together.

Another day

Another blessing, another opportunity to do so much more, and I know you saved me so as these blessings flow through me and around me.

I know as long as I’m close to you, everything will work out for me.

So grateful and full of love for you, my lord, as I celebrate the day you brought me into this world.

I know that the unknown will be something to wait for because the wait is worth it as long as you are by my side.

Today is just another example things will continue to get better no matter what the hell I have to walk through to get to your light and love.

What is it

Week 282 of Three Line Tales

Photo by Mehrab Zahedbeigi via Unsplash

That I want to be when I grow up because working for NASA would be cool as science and engineering has always been something that interested me.

To reach for the stars and back my dreams come true and successfully make it through it all for there is no present moment right now that isn’t as important as the decision of what am I going to do with my life.

Things have not always been easy and at this moment I think about all the possibilities and hope for the best.

Is Happiness

Week 278 of Three Line Tales

Photo by Bekky Bekks via Unsplash

as simple as having a piece of cake, or is it like a piece of cake that tastes so good at the moment, and maybe one slice isn’t enough to satisfy your taste buds.

But over days the cake will become no good and like that your happiness is over and they leave you with how many pieces of cake left and is that happiness you grew to love worth it.

Or did over time that happiness fade a way for nothing is forever.

Those days of excitement are here as you walked across the stage and accepted your degree.

Hoping now on your life would finally fall in place and you would do what you love for the rest of your life for this moment was finally here, and you are living the life you had dreamed of.

You have applied everywhere and you can’t wait to work, for what you know will make you fulfilled this time around.

Time

Something I often want to speed up

just to get through the day.

But when inspiration hits, that’s when time is so precious and you need to appreciate it.

Because once it’s gone you can’t get that back.

Time is something I try not to take for granted, for when I do I regret the things I missed out on.

But I realized it’s never too late to take the time today and do something great and let that live on for me.

I don’t want to leave anything unsaid anymore.

It’s always

you and I that make up a heart and jumping for joy when life’s blessing came our way and a new adventure too.

Best friends for life, we said, for we were inseparable and knew we would one day have to face the world as adults and no longer children.

We would have to stand up for ourselves and we would declare what we believe in and we would appreciate those that have helped us along the way.

Our plans would take us in two different directions and at one point we reconnected, and it was great.

But now we are forever connected as friends for life and the support and love is still there but we both realize things would change as we grew up and lived our lives our way that it wouldn’t be the same and that is okay.

For we both have grown into beautiful ladies and we both have set our own paths, and the story we have written is not over as we continue to grow each and every day.

Finally we

Week 271 of Three Line Tales

two people in a boat on a canal

have arrived at a place that will allow us to get away from the life we have lived for far too long and we have stressed and relaxed but not fully cleared our minds of all that has happened this past year.

For all we know is the door that we have been waiting for is about to open and there is no going back once we walk in.

Knowing that this so-called peace may not last longer than two weeks but to make the most of what we have is to be grateful.

I don’t know

what to say tonight but I’m craving to reach out and say something.

But the truth is I’m holding myself back for I don’t know how this is going to go

and what if I speak too soon and things get worse.

I don’t know why I’m holding back because it just seems like were going in circles too many times before.

I know tonight is the right night to let it all flow out and as I hit send I know there is no going back this time and I am okay with that.

First, she has to get to the party since his car died two blocks away from the party and four blocks away from her house.

Tonight you both are trying your best to get there on time and still enjoy it all.

Like fire

You light the way and

With a smile on your face, you guide the way .

Your hair is all I remember that day when we had to leave town and walk out on the cold, snowy grounds.

Away from the mountains because the cold was coming in, our little town could no longer hold the protection we needed.

We hoped we could find safety soon, or the cold would quickly get us too.

The red of your hair reminded me of fire, and I kept that close to me as we walked ahead.

Trying to stay warm and not let the cold get into my mind, or it will all be for nothing.

When it

all came down your light guided my way

and I knew that I would be just fine to find my way home.

Even when things didn’t seem to be clearing up, somehow, you still got me through it.

In your light, I trust no matter what type of storm comes my way.

I know you are the only situation to save my day.

I remember

Three Line Tales, Week 254

three line tales, week 254: cookies and milk
photo by Tamas Pap via Unsplash

when cookies and milk were something I looked forward to eating for the right amount of dipping of the cookie.

Made it just soft enough to eat and taste so good, but if you dipped it too long the cookie would be lost in the cup of milk and would only make it if you fished it out.

To something that is a classic snack and go to dessert, I know I won’t forget my first time having cookies and milk or my next time having it either.

fox you sneaked into my life and at first I was a little worried for you barely said a word just watched me with your curious eyes.

As we got closer I realize the hesitant you had made when we first met was because you had seen something in me and it scared you.

For you knew there was more to come from this friendship that would last longer than you thought was possible, I will always be grateful for you sneaking into my life and stealing a piece of my heart.

forest, you grow and not just by growing up but by wisdom and kindness.
You try your best to stay calm and do what you can.
However, life keeps throwing little things your way to throw you off.
And you can choose to fall for them or rise above them and don’t let them bring you down for you know how hard you work, your values in life.
So forget the bitter people and all the evil things they try to throw at you and keep moving until you can move on and away from them for good.
