Daily Prompt: Dancing

You danced with so much grace on the stage last night that even though I was dragged to this talent show.

I couldn’t get over how  amazing it was to see you move the way you did with so much ease and confidence, you didn’t let anything slow you down.

The raw emotions I saw as you performed every move with so much ease and perfection, it showed how dedicated  you are to your dance and your smile glued me to my seat and I couldn’t look away if I tried.

You smile gave me hope that one day I could be on the stage with you and all the people I knew were going to go somewhere and this was going to be the dream that they accomplished some how and some way.

So times I felt so tore about how I could just take the risk of failure and just have a leap of faith that this too could work out for me.

I was lost in the dark and the light guided me home

to a place that was safe and a place to grow, I became the person I thought I wasn’t capable of being.

I was feeling alive again and nothing negative could stick to me and for first time in a long time I felt truly free of the darkness inside of me.

Daily Prompt: Faint

The voices of the people I thought would stay in my life

for a long time became faint as I walk away that day.

I didn’t remember what they said to me but my heart still feels a little empty

from the piece of me they took that night.

They didn’t even see me walk away or even cared if I had showed up

but the words they said just hit me so hard I felt pieces of my heart fall away and the pain was so much I almost fainted.

But, some how I got the strength to turn around and walk out that door and go to a place that ended up saving me from not recover from that pain.

There had always been someone there for me that didn’t like the other people I hung out with but respected that I like them but, always warned me that one day things would come clear to me.

And the first thing you did that night wasn’t tell me you told me so but, that you would do anything to take this pain away and that trying to get revenge wasn’t worth it for karma always comes back around.

My heart is fully healed now and you are still by my side not only protecting me but the family we built together and maybe one day our kids will have a friend who stands up for them like you did for me that day.

Daily Prompt: Egg

Eggs I love to eat the scrambled

but eggs remind me of when I was a kid

and Easter would come around and you would go out searching for eggs

full of candy or toys and the joy it would bring me.

Now Eggs could mean am I putting all I have into one basket and just hoping it works out or am I allowing myself to try new things and go from there.

I  have to trust that even if I fail and that egg breaks I still have more to give at whatever I want to try my hand out.

My eggs aren’t breaking now but even when they do I’ll clean up the mess and do better next time and know that this isn’t the last thing I will do.

Next time I will go farther and the outcome will be better all I have to do is have a little faith and know I got this before I go in  feeling defeated before the battle has even begun.

Daily Prompt: Neighbors

It’s great to see your neighbor out and about and it’s even nicer when you can have a moment and just chat with them.

And just lost in the many things in life that are going on, you want to be friendly to all but some just dislike you before you even  get them.

Sometimes there are times when you notice the things the people are doing and you beginning to wonder what’s going on with your neighbors.

As the weather changes and winter starts to come in and maybe the snow will come and like every other winter you will all get together and help each other out.

Sometimes having neighbors are nice and other times you just want to be somewhere for your neighbor is a good mile or two away.

But, we can’t all get what we want and sometimes we have to just live with the option you have now and hope later you would have more time to.

Daily Prompt: Simmer

The water seems to slowly simmer as she waits for it to boil

so she can put in the rest of the food that will complete her meal.

But her patience is really low with a long day at work, she tries to will the water to speed up for she was getting more sleepy by the minute.

She need to eat and then head to bed and he was demanding and all she wanted was a good night of sleep and no stress because she had a lot on the table and she just didn’t know if she could get it done.

The water was not bubbling up enough for her to add the noodles, she wished it didn’t take this long to boil water.

And then she notices she never turned it up and it was all her fault and now she was going to be able to just relax and not stress.

Bright lights shine append my first and I stand strong and tall as the show goes on and I’m so glad I got my shades on for it would have been blinding with all the different lights coming on and all as the show goes on.

I see others trying their best to not look directly into the lights as you watch the greatest moment unfold around you. As the fog begins to roll back to the back row.

You finally see everything so clearly and you start to record everything because you don’t want to forget this moment for years from now your life may not be as adventures as it is now in this moment.

Show me who you are!

Poetry

I need someone

on days when doing it alone just doesn’t work

When four hands are better than two

When laughter is better shared than echoing off walls and you are all alone.

When all you want is hug and hugging someone else is just what you needed

When dressing up is just more fun when you have someone else to dress up with

When you want to pick on someone there must be someone else that is your target

When you just miss that person and just need to see their face.

When it takes the two of you to cause the trouble you are just dying to cause

When the joke is just funny when you have someone else to hear it too.

I need someone else to continue to pull others into this so there is fewer people alone and more people together laughing so hard that they are crying.

For there to be more love and hugs then arguments and crime.

More peace than violence and a day beginnings good and ends the same way.

I need someone who is brave and willing to play along and take the risk that needs to be taken now with me to be there along the way.
