As we

Say our final

Goodbyes

And there is no dry eyes insight.

Through our masks we gasps and we laugh

At good memories.

For the sadness doesn’t end today

But hopeful some of the heaviness will fall away.

Making tomorrow lighter and brighter as we carry you forever in our hearts.

Feeling it

All coming down

On me like a waterfall.

So fast I can barely catch my breath.

I want to let it out but I’m not sure I’m ready

For the outcome when it’s all done and I’m drained completely.

With no energy to pick myself back up again.

Happy Birthday

Advertisements

To me

Another year

To shine on this place.

Another year

To each with grace.

I know my patience has been thin

Sometimes but, I regret nothing

The risk had to be taken.

Or I wouldn’t be able to stand as tall as I can now.

I have seen so many truths come forward from the darkness.

As the light has washed over me and those before.

I know only good things will come my way as the darkness will continue to stand outside my gate.

Time

Moving fast

Tears Flowing continually

Memories of happy times.

A lot to think about but not sure what to do next.

Can’t seem to sit still for too long

I know things will keep moving on

And finding joy will be hard but I know you will want me to be strong.

So if I have to be carried along I will until I’m strong enough to walk this path with you.

You

will be missed

you fought a good battle.

You even came back and decided you would fight some more.

But, Life is a funny thing sometimes

and then you know it’s time to go.

When all the fight has left you and peace has come.

I love you and will forever cherish our time together.

Rest in peace grandpa and may one day we meet again and peace will be all we know.

Driving

Away from the things

That doesn’t matter anymore.

And I am not sad about it

As I drive in the dark and hope they

Won’t come looking for me.

I tried to make it work but I’m not foolish enough to stay any longer.

Then I need to because I have reached the end of my rope.

I have cried enough tears and stared at enough walls to know.

I’m stronger as long as I stay away and fade into life on my own.

cold day outside so my orange rusted color sweater will do

as I head out for the day.

I won’t be long as I have some much need reading and writing to do.

But I feel slightly unprepared lately and my mood isn’t right either.

But things have to get done even as it starts to get so cold and things are overwhelming and no matter how much I try to push forward nothing seems to be going right at all.

It’s cold outside but I already feel myself freezing up inside as everything that once felt so right now feels like an disaster and who knows all long it will take to recover this time around.

Out for you

And you were

There to catch me.

You comforted me

And now I’m okay.

With you still by my side

I can smile again and breath comfortablly.

Your words

Confuse me

Enlighten me.

Frustrate me

Warm me

Freeze me

Warn me

And yet every time I ignore the warning and jump right in and I forget the consequences.

That will follow and will most likely hurt and in the end shut me down.

And somehow you will start me up again on a cycle that will not ever end well.
