Like a wave

Advertisements

We come and go from each other’s lives as life gets busy and we all fade into our reality.

Then like a wave we show up for each other when times get tough or we need the support.

Always and forever waving at each other from a far but once we’re up close again it’s like we never left.

Sunset or sunrise we are always showing up for each other with the determination of someone fight for a chance to stay a little longer.

In hopes we don’t all just become a distant memory of our past.

To own

Up to the words that live inside of me, I have to let them out first.

But the fear of what they will say haunts me every day.

The past is the past, but the triggers of those experiences still ring in strong.

Until I remind myself, the past is not my present, and those words and experiences don’t hold a candle in my life now.

For I am strong enough to push past the walls, I put up in the first place with the clarity I had along.

Accept what happens and embrace what is to come, for I own who I am and what I can be.

How shall

I feel when you trigger something in me that stops me in my place.

That makes me loss my space in this peaceful place I have gone too.

How am I to react everytime you are around should I be so kind and not let the things that bother me get to me.

Should I speak up or hold my breathe and not say a peep for saying anything back to you sometimes isn’t worth the argument.

Peace as the music washes over me

As the lyric continue to play all around me.

Allowing me to face the things in my past and present so that I can finally let them go.

And as the last note goes away I realise I want to hear it again just for the sweet melodies.

As the beautiful notes come to a beautiful ending, so does this long day of reconnecting and settings for the night.

I don’t

Know what to say to you, so I say nothing at all.

But all the unspoken words don’t sit well with me.

I don’t want to hide, but I don’t know how to approach what has been left unsaid for so long.

Maybe a simple hi here will be just the start we need for now.

What if

you listened to the signs of warnings in your life

Would you be in a better place?

Or would stepping off the path that is no longer serving you make things better?

Sometimes you must read beyond the sign but then again if the sign is red and telling you to stay on the path.

Let’s just stay there and see where the path takes us for when it’s right everything will slowly fall into place.

Woke up

Feeling determined with whatever is thrown my way.

For I know when you Look at me. Do you genuinely see me as the person standing in front of you?

Or am I just another somebody walking by, and if I am, that is okay because every step and move I make is not for everyone to see?

If you see me making the right moves, you are lucky because not everyone will see me in my lifetime.

And I am genuinely okay with that because the world is a massive place.

And my words will reach as far as they can, and when the right people have absorbed them, my goal is complete.
