I’m only getting

Advertisements

Older and this time around I know what I want and what I need to do.

As I stand on the cliff of life and decide jumping is the only way to leave it all behind.

So I jump and then down I go diving straight into the unknown and for the first time I’m not afraid to get swallowed up.

For I’ve been stalling for a while now and I don’t want to hesitate anymore.

It’s now or never and I rather see what happens than look down the road trying to catch a ride to who I could have been.

Is there anyone

Advertisements

Out there who can see me

Who can feel me

Who can understand me as the words fly from my mouth.

From my fingers to the keyboard and I don’t know what I’m holding out for again.

Maybe I thought I had arrived but there is no one around to greet me again.

Will, it ever change for me, or will I keep being unseen forever.

Some days I’m okay with not being seen and other days I just wish one person could stop and see me for who I truly am.

Holding on

For what

For whom

And no time will not tell me

The truth is there is no point in me holding on for this time falling is the only way I will grow.

Not going

To fall short today or be overwhelmed for I have to get it done.

No more excuses or distractions for those get me nowhere quick.

And I’m ready to go somewhere and be lifted into a place I know I’m worthy of being.

Catching up

on the life I once had time for.

When the days didn’t seem to go by so quickly.

When stress and worry weren’t at my forefront of my mind all the time.

When I could get through a day and trust that I would make it to the other side when it was all said and done.

Letting go

Advertisements

Of the hope that things will ever be the same she takes a walk in hope to clear my mind.

and let it all fall away as her feet hit the sand and every step feels like a release.

Maybe today she will finally leave her pain as sorrow behind and raise to better days .
