Look down

And see what is waiting for you

And you might just be surprised by leaf heart

And you realize the little things in life

That lights us back up when times are rough

Or slow you down and stop and look or see all of nature’s beauty.

Allow the sun to shine down on you without being annoyed that it’s too bright.

I could have missed out on this leaf on my walk with my dog, but I looked down and was in awe of something so small but beautiful.

Night, as it gets late and the sun sets, I get ready to sleep.

I am so tired that I can no longer avoid being worn down by 6 p.m. and having it dark by 7 p.m.

I get ready for bed with no regrets as I keep yawning with no hope of stopping insight.

I know I must sleep soon, or things will get rough.

I will fall asleep and leave other things on all night as I sleep with no care or concern. I won’t worry; I only want to catch as many zzzs as possible.

Sleep has come and gone lately, and I feel I never get enough sleep.

If you could meet a historical figure, who would it be and why?

Meet a historical figure. Who would it be, and why?

It would be Harriet Tubman because she was a strong-willed woman who trusted God to lead her on her path.

She risked her life to save others and didn’t let the fear of what-ifs stop her. She stood up for what she believed and never stopped trying to save those she loved.

Because of her, many slaves were saved and got to taste freedom, and she gives me hope to stay strong as a woman in this world and to keep leaning on my faith, for it will get me through it.
