Making my way

Advertisements

Through this path with my hips moving side to side as my hands touch the thorns that slice my hands and knees day and night.

No path of escaping because you pull me back on the chains call growing pains.

I know that this life may look good on the outside because maybe things are easier than what you face.

But unless you walk in my shoes how do you know what I say is all there is left to be said.

It is not my place to tell you all that happening around me because if he wanted you to know than you would be in control of my life.

You would know all the answers before I do and then I wouldn’t have to write this for you.

Another day

Another blessing, another opportunity to do so much more, and I know you saved me so as these blessings flow through me and around me.

I know as long as I’m close to you, everything will work out for me.

So grateful and full of love for you, my lord, as I celebrate the day you brought me into this world.

I know that the unknown will be something to wait for because the wait is worth it as long as you are by my side.

Today is just another example things will continue to get better no matter what the hell I have to walk through to get to your light and love.

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’ You must do the thing you think you cannot do.

Fandango’s Story Starter #17 ( whose in my house)

Advertisements

I heard a voice calling out my name from inside the house, and when I opened the door

I saw a mouse, and down the stairs, he went, but yet the voice continued to call my name from the kitchen now.

I didn’t know if closing the door and hiding under the bed or in the closet was still an option.

The voice seemed to be coming near the stairs now, but I heard no creeks from the floor as they got near.

Was the house worth fighting for?

No, I thought as I closed the door and grabbed my bag full of stuff I hadn’t yet put away from my weekend away.

But, just as I was about to jump from my window, my door swung open, and there stood my best friend, who I forgot was still in the house.

Since I decided to come home earlier than planned, and right on her shoulder was my parrot, sandy, who always calls my name but never hears her coming.

On the darkest

day of my life, the path we walked through every day would become a path.

We wouldn’t walk again as the forest closed in on us that day and the fog led us towards the light, trying its best to get us out.

But the forest had another plan for us and even though we did no harm to the forest, it still wanted us as its prize now.

Two loyal servants to provide all the care it would need over the years, but the fog didn’t want the boys to lose out on such a blessed life they were already living every day.

As the fog knew, their story had just begun, and they provided so much to their village that the forest was being unfair to them.

So just when the forest thought it was time to sweep the boys up, the fog grew thick and told the boys to run and never look back.

I keep

It simple as I walk through this life at my own pace.

I learned a longtime ago that if you go to fast you will just end up with nothing good.

And I rather have less than have a lot of bad things in my life.

Things don’t have to be fancy, but they have to be suitable for me, especially as I continue to figure out what I truly need in my life as I continue to grow and see who will stay with me.

soul to feel what I thought I would never feel again.

I was overwhelmed as this feeling surrounded me and my every being.

So strongly I feel now and not like before when everything hurt, and only your voice could pull me from my darkest place.

You were my wake-up call, and now I am never that far from you.

Staying close to the light keeps me safe.

As I know now, the darkest never truly leaves. It waits for the next perfect time to strike.

Knocking down, and before you know it, the path you were on is gone, and everything you once knew no longer is accessible to you.
