Sweet sounds

To my ear as the music plays on and I am in my zone.

Nothing can pop my bubble of protection as the world around me gets quite crazy.

And everyone is snapping because the mess is all around, and some can’t see what’s happening around them.

While others sit by playing on cellphones like there is no urgency around them and their not getting paid to be here.

Otherwise, why would they call it a job if all you do is what you want anyway?

But when the man sleeps, everyone loses their mind and does what they want, for authority means nothing if they can’t see you.

The frustration

Is there as you look at those that played the victim.

But they had planned it all out, and in the end, it didn’t go their way.

Because most things in life don’t go as planned, and as you complain again, I walk away shaking my head.

I know, you know why things didn’t work out, but if you didn’t know, well, you know now.

As the night ends and the morning beginnings, the anger you keep safe inside starts to spill out.

And over time, it all fades away, but you will not forget the game they all played just for a holiday.

Dealing

With you is like being on a rollercoaster that I didn’t sign up for, and I want off, but you pull me back every time I run.

There is no escape from you, and I don’t want to hide or be rude.

But I am looking for peace, not drama and manipulation.

Game of Marco and Polo.

Sometimes I get close to figuring you out, and sometimes, I’m nowhere near finding or seeing how you truly feel.

But I get hot, then cold, and then I’m lost, but it’s the little clues you leave me that keep me chasing you every time.

I know winning you will be the most excellent price, so I work hard to stay on course, and one day soon, I know I will win you over.

Every step

I take towards the storm is a step closer to my Lord as he waits for me to go through it together.

And I finally understand why when I ran from my problems, it always felt like I missed out on something.

Who would

I would be if I didn’t use the voice given to me?

Would I still be so misunderstood?

Would I have missed out on knowing who I am?

Would I miss out on knowing you too?

Would there be a meaning to this life I live if this was all true and not just a thought during a time of Curiosity?

Here I go

Again writing down how I feel or see things, I wonder if the words will have meaning behind them this time.

Or just more words to fill up the space and time that floats around me.

As I race to make it to the finish line, only I see.
