Nothing I’ve seen before so bright and mysterious.

Your presence speaks volumes as you light a new path for me every day.

You’re what I love to look at, and when I feel I can’t get enough, you shine even more so, lighting up my life like nothing ever could before.

How could

I have known I’d be this tired of it all, and holding on just seems so pointless now.

The pain, the sorrow, really isn’t worth the time or energy I’m giving it.

As this path I’m on isn’t making it better or easier to breathe when I walk away, and the space between us is a blessing and is something I truly needed.

For the loneliness right now is what I need and only in time will I figure out what we really need for me and you to workout.

But the thing is, I’ve never been good at having much patience and I know being quiet will not last for long, but I know I won’t say it out loud, for maybe I know the words spoken by me won’t be heard or accepted by you soon.

You didn’t

See the anger inside of me as you yet again brushed me off as if I’m not on the same level as you.

And maybe I’m not, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going through my stuff and maybe because you don’t know, that is the problem.

But the truth is I’m done letting you into my life and so you have to accept what you know and this battle we keep facing will keep happening and I’m okay with that.

Because I’ve moved on and those that know me in and out will always get it all and you will always be on this thin rope with me and you can only blame yourself.

For the end of that rope will come and I won’t cry or feel sad when it finally falls short and I can leave it behind with all the other ropes in my past.

Now and then

Your light guides me to a better place when I’m going through a rough patch in my life.

You’re the joy that stays with me all year long, and I don’t know what I would do without you.

Your eyes always shine so brightly during the holidays; it’s like just the thought of seeing those you love and enjoying your favorite time of year.

It lights you up inside like fireworks that never seem to go out or dim even when things get dark for you or me.

Close your mouth

And let your mind catch up.

Something’s need more time to brew, or you’re going to end up burning yourself too.

If only I could have warned you.

You have

What it takes to make things happen, but you let so much hold you back.

But now and then, something wakes you up, and you get moving so fast that you don’t question it but absorb it all.

Because you don’t know if this will happen again, losing your voice three times was enough for you.

And now that it’s back, you can’t let go of the thread holding it together right now.

So you write until your fingers hurt, then you write some more until your filled up with joy and accomplishment.

And the taste of being something for once is addicting that you don’t want to go back to the feeling of being behind and lost.

So as you soar for the first time, you smile and share your joy as your success becomes someone else and continues like the circle of life.
