Being able to relax and fall asleep

With no interruptions, curly up for warmth as fall is now knocking on our doors.

And the heat will be on its way, and I will be more likely to show up.

Until it’s too cold that no amount of heat can convince you to come out.

But now, you will just listen to the wind blowing and sleep the night away.

A million reasons why I should run and not look back flood me as everything hits the fan.

I know there is so much more I want to do, but here I am.

I don’t know how long I will stay, but for now, I’m here when you need me.

Sometimes I hide away so I can’t be bothered, but somehow, you always find me.

And make me smile, and the time here isn’t so wrong, but I’m ready to go.

And not look back as I drive away from this place.

That haunts me at night.

It isn’t always easy, and I get it because I know being me isn’t easy either.

But when we’re together, things are so easy.

We fall into laughter and joking and are just two peas in a pod.

With no urgency, we can just be you and me.

Times fly by as we talk and talk with so much ease that we never run out of things to say to each other.

Making life and time with you is so easy and beautiful.

I know time with you will always be like seeing you for the first time and the butterflies taking flight in my tummy.

And us smiling like fools at each other as we explore something new together.

Say I‘m not afraid of the outcome would be a lie

But giving up isn’t easy for me this time, and the urge is strong

But I know the award is more outstanding than the pit I would fall in if I gave up and never knew how the outcome would end.

I’m tired of not knowing the outcome when all I have to do is keep going.

Maybe it will work out, and perhaps it won’t, but I’ll never know if I will keep giving up.

As everything around me flies away and you’re left alone in a dark place, I haven’t seen you in a long time; you show up now and then.

The place is so dark it feels like you are wandering for hours and days.

Until you see a light of hope and you rush forward.

And maybe you go back to yourself, or you fall back into the unknown.

The rules to get to you

Because I need a little love in my life.

And I’ve been working on myself, and now I’m ready as I stand in front of you.

And you give me this look as if you can’t believe I’m ready to provide you with a chance.

But the lucky one is me, as you waited for me longer than most would have.

To you, it feels like the luckiest day of your life.

Someone who knows growth will come, but so will setbacks. But together, we can get it done.

It’s happening everywhere you turn

Whether it benefits you or not, it’s out of your hands.

You want to Plan before the storm comes crashing towards you fast. Great, go ahead.

But you know, no matter how much you plan or think about the many ways it could go wrong or right.

You have no control over change or other people’s decisions.

So let’s wait and see what happens. Maybe it won’t be so bad.
