A lovely day is just to be inside, dress up at the table, and have a day in with some close friends.

Throw some blueberries on the table and get out all the healthy fruit, but not until everyone arrives.

Everyone will fill the space with laughter until tears are running down their faces.

You will be so happy you planned this day, for you needed more time with those who mattered.

And you know now that you won’t stay away from them for too long after today.

Treat me

Like your favorite treat

Make me a priority so even on your bad days you have something to look forward too.

And when you see me you will get that same feeling when treating yourself to your favorite treat of all time.

For I’m one of a kind, and I light you up inside like a Christmas tree.

So I know when I come around, you feel like it’s a special occasion, for I treat you like a king.

I hope you will see me as your queen.

So let’s toast to treating each other well as we both have our treasures to explore and maybe we can treat each other to many moments that are enjoyable and everlasting treats.

My family

Who do you spend the most time with?

Is who I spend the most time with

We’re thick as thieves

Especially me and my two older sisters

Growing up, we argued, and we still do, but our bond is unbreakable.

We get each other and connect and understand each other like no other.

Talking to them can be smooth sometimes and rocky, but I know they see every side of me.

Talking to them is clear, and it doesn’t make me not want to share parts of myself.

Also, sometimes with my friends, I don’t want to put all that is going on out there for them to judge.

There is the sense of always being safe and loved, and understood, which primarily makes me want to spend all of my time with my family.

We don’t turn our backs on each other; we try to build each other up in hopes we can all live a good life and make something of ourselves.

So if the world was to go into another lockdown and all I could do was spend time with my family.

I would be happy, and I would thrive, for together, we’re stronger, and my heart would be full of that unconditional love that could last a lifetime.

I needed

It felt like taking my breath for the first time

No stress or feeling of being in a hurry, just the feeling of having all day to do as I please.

But now, the break is over, but all I long for is to be on it again.

I wanted

to write something meaningful that would touch someone.

Anybody who reads it would love and understand it.

But my mind is drawing blank, and nothing is coming through.

And all I can think of is am I content with how things are going because my world is calm, but I have no words to express it.

Is it because I’m missing something in this life, and it’s hiding somewhere?

I cannot reach it right now, and it makes me feel so weak as my craving to write sits unsatisfied inside me.

Until I change or do something inspiring, my words will be left unsaid as I search for a way to express them again.

I had more time to figure it all out

But the countdown has started, and I have to figure out how to finish what I started.

As I rush around trying to figure it all out

The pile has grown so much that I’m not sure I can finish it all, and some things feel like I have outgrown them—so many commitments and not enough focus.

Now where do I fit in, and what do I genuinely want to do and be?
