Quote of the day

What would your life be like without music?
My life be like without music?
It would be silent and bland, as I love listening to music.
Music is beautiful, natural, and powerful. It can be therapeutic during difficult situations in life.
I know the sound is all around, but when you hear a song being sung and the lyrics are how you feel or want to feel, it’s like getting the answers to a prayer.
You feel like you are not alone, and sometimes you calm down, and music can do that.
God gave some of us the gift of singing, and when a song relates and heals and makes you stop and think. You realize there is more to life.
I don’t know where or how my life would be without God and music, and I don’t want to know.
I’m grateful for music and all those who love it and share it!

Be asleep but here I am wasting no time to jump into a new post to write.
As if this word waste was all I was waiting for.
I know my life is different from others and my story is inside me hidden away because the truth is who can I trust it with.
I’ve wasted time telling it to people who I thought mattered for they too to leave.
I could be broken and have trust issues, but I don’t want to waste my time not getting out there and experiencing it all.
Yes, the way I will go about it may seem like I’m taking a long way and I’m wasting time.
But I want to see it all, and I can’t afford to waste a second on things that don’t matter anymore.
I know I’m growing, and we’re drifting apart, and yet again, I am alone, but the time we spent together was not wasted.
I will treasure our memories, but now I must not waste my time down memory lane as I have much to see and feel, and I hope you wish me luck on this new adventure.

How do you celebrate holidays?
Celebrate holidays?
I celebrate them with my family and our dog.
For Thanksgiving, we cook some food the night before, so Thanksgiving day isn’t too tiring. Double ovens do help.
As the food cook, we would watch the parade; it hasn’t been the same since COVID-19.
Then, after the parade, we went off to do our own thing and finish up anything that needed to be cooked.
Then, around 3 or 4 pm, we will eat and then rest, then come back for dessert a little later. Of course, now that I work nights, I sleep through everything, wake up to eat, and then go off to work; I go a couple of hours later.
But my favorite holiday is Christmas because leading the way to the big day are holiday movies. I may be addicted to them as I anticipate the time of year when they announce Hallmark Christmas movies, and I make sure I watch them or record them since I still have to work.
I know Christmas isn’t about the presents, so I celebrate Christmas for Jesus and enjoy the days off with my family.
The holidays always bring around this magical feeling. At least Christmas does, and every year, it sucks me in.

Write about your most epic baking or cooking fail.
Fail!
I was trying to make a keto-friendly cheesecake, and it was disgusting. I couldn’t dare let anyone eat it, and it ended up in the trash.
But I did try a sweet potato brownie keto-friendly, and it was good.
I learned some recipes aren’t worth trying, for I don’t particularly appreciate wasting stuff.

What are your favorite types of foods?
Types of food are?
Italian, Chinese, Mexican, Indian.
But I love food, so I’m willing to try most things, and as long as it tastes good, I’m in!

Can be light and so freeing
Like the breeze of air flowing into your life, like a lovely day in the fall, sometimes life can seem so dark, like the night.
You told me to keep quiet for who knows what’s lurking in the shadows.
But my voice is like a bird. Sometimes, it can’t be silent to protect those who play the victim card all the time out of fear of being turned in because they’re always looking for a way to blame others for the problems they don’t want to face.
To be silent again feels like being that little girl who had a voice but was too afraid to speak up for fear of others turning on her.
But I’m not that little girl anymore, and I won’t go back to the past where her voice didn’t matter.
For I know her voice matters and so does mine.
So, where do we go if we can’t say what needs to be told in this place anymore?

How often do you walk or run?
Often do I walk or run?
Well, I walk around the hospital 7days straight when I’m at work, for about 2 hours when delivering meds. Then I walk around now and then just doing stuff in the pharmacy. But some nights at work, I feel like I am up and moving all night with only my break to save me from walking more.
Then, when I’m off, I take my dog for walks for three days. Those walks can be 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the weather, for my dog overheats quickly, so summer walks are usually quick and short.
