Like a flash

Like a flash you’re on your way

to new things and better places.

You’re gone so quick sometimes

I wonder if I imagined you.

Your focus and quick decisions

let you accomplish so much

in the blink of an eye.

You have achieved everything

in so little time; and yet

I just wish you’d just slow down,

and appreciate what’s happening

all around you, right now.

  1. Deirdra: I like this one very much. My (friendly, hopefully not-too-critical) eye would have played with different (shorter) line breaks; and a couple of the “your” should be “you’re”, I think.

    I love the way you capture the capturing, though. Well done.

    1. mywords2228 – Love writing poetry and reading tons of books. I also write short fiction stories and hope to include them on my page soon; I hope you enjoy my work, and thanks for stopping by my page.
